Weird today. Logged onto laptop and opened Chrome. IN the blue section of the toolbar on the right my name now appears, looking a bit dodgy. When I click on it it tries to get me to log into my Google + account, switch person, or go incognito. Frankly it looks a bit dodgy. Am doing a scan to see if anything picked up but was wondering if anyone else has this. IS this a new development in Chrome?

New Chrome feature, Users that's on by default now - can be disabled in Menu > Settings > Users (option to disable is the first option).

And if I try and add an extra person or use as Guest, I get lots of lovely new extensions like bettersurf, etc. which I have to individually delete

Those come from preinstalled software on your computer, those will need to be separately uninstalled to resolve that.

Adwcleaner sorted it out, thanks. Still looks dodgy if you ask me

Chrome does tend to "throw" features at you without warning, a little "what's new" prompt on update via notification would be nice with a saying like "Users is now an on / off feature, click here to keep it off".

By logging into Chrome, your settings and favourites are shareable across platforms - I use Chrome on an iphone, tablet and PC and my favourites sync automatically
