Just to annoy her I remind her she holds a US passport and as a proud Puerto Rican this gets on her no end.

I adore this goal a little more each time I see it, there's a great gfy of it over on the reddit page, don't think I can post it directly here though. There's also one of Di Maria's goal, that ball from Rooney is out of this world. Counter attacking at its quickest and finest.

Also from Reddit, on this day 9 years ago we signed Vida, 9 fúcking years!

Thats one thing we've improved on this season compared to recent years. The days of 2008/2009 counter attacking at breathtaking speed were the best, Ronaldo's goal against Arsenal at the Emirates in the CL will always be one of my favourites. We've scored a few like that this season, even against Arsenal, Di Maria's pace brings so so much to our game.

Herrera's goal last night had shades of James in the World Cup about it. Absolute peach.

I think LVG will stick with the 3 5 2 system considering the squad we have. McNair, Blackett, Evans, Jones, Smalling, Rojo, all play there. We all know we need a world class cb . Thats 7 CBs plus Carrick and Blind who are capable of playing there. Then we have 4 strikers.
From what I can see he is playing to the strengths of the squad he has. If he goes 433 then he has possibly 5 centre backs and 3 centre forwards being left out of the team. And I don't think either Carrick or Blind are good enough in the holding role of a 433. You need a player with much more pace than either of them

I see Mike Phelan has taken over as caretaker manager at Norwich. As far as I know this is his first managerial post? Will be interesting to see how he makes the move from coach to being the man in charge but with his record at United you can't blame Norwich for giving him a go.

All the best to him, hope it works out.

The way the draw is going there could be a lot of the big teams left by the quarters which isn't always the case.

Really think our name could be on the cup this year, injuries permitting LVzg should go with 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 v Cambridge.

Our local is giving away 5 free pints to everyone if Rory Gaffney, who signed for Cambridge over the winter, scores against United!

Anyone watch Pointless earlier? Final round was Manchester United teams with the three sub categories being: Any player from the 1968 European Cup winning team, any player from the 1992 FA Youth Cup team and any player from the 1991 Cup Winners Cup team (inlcluding subs brought on in either game).

Got the only three pointless answers from 1968, fell just short for 1992 and didn't get either of the two pointless answers from 1991. I was totally stumped with that team :D

Can we sign Akenfenwa and just let him fight other teams?
