links not loading on internet explorer ,help

    when i click on a link on a web page it just opens page link is on again,not the actual link. installed service pack for explorer couple weeks ago,but links not loading since saturday.restored internet defaults but no joy.any ideas?

    Reinstall internet explorer 6.
    Heard of a similar problem fixed in this way recently, probably on this board.

    thanks for the reply , but if i reinstall explorer will my bookmarks and other users' still be there .

    no luck, could it be my dsl modem/router combo as its not zonealarm is not causing the problem?
