Battery in the 3000s is better (ie bigger) and it is LTE while the P8 is not.

also P3000s is cheaper! so yes, in my opinion the P3000s is a better option!

Get it from Etotalk they root and install a rom for a bit extra.

Have a look at the Meizu M1 Note (might take a little while to become available), Zopo 3X, or Elephone P3000s. ZTE Nubia Z7 Mini might be a bit over budget, but you might talk yourself into it for a Snapdragon 801 SOC. The Jiayu S3 looks pretty tasty, though.

Pre sale mark is gone from the Elephone p3000s on etotalk so hopefully its sent out soon.

Anyone use that crowd advertising on adverts.ie called bargain-mobiles-shop? They seem to be selling a number of different Chinese models like Cubol and Thl models.
