Ford Focus 2009 - illuminated display panel

Any input, help or advice greatly appreciated. The display panel in my 2009 Ford Focus remains illuminated when I switch off the ignition and lock the car. Has been on overnight and am worried it will lead to draining the battery. My radio also does now not come on at all. Any ideas? Thanks

The guys on here suggest that it is linked to the a problem with a microswitch that is not disengaging when the key pulls out... Have a read of it...

If you're worried about a parasitic drain, you could just check the battery voltage with a multimeter, and if you notice it dropping below 12.4V, start the car and leave it running for a while.....

You would probably have better success on the Motors forum..
