That the cop in the Fairytale of New York video is Matt Dillon. Don't know how I never spotted it before.

Nathan Carter is Irish! I always thought he was American! I'm seriously in shock at that!

Well he was born in Liverpool.

And American country artists tend to sing proper country music, not that God awful Irish only mash-up.

Would you believe it I just posted that video to my Facebook timeline - watched it last night and went 'hey that's Matt Dillon". :/

"A 23 year old Matt Dillon appeared in the music video for 1987's 'Fairytale Of New York'."

How incredibly racist the movie Team America is. Watched it when I was younger and saw the comedy but the source of jokes and reasons for them went over my head.
Saw it last week for what it really is. Still thought it was hilarious but in a new light.

That the numbers on a toaster dial actually represent minutes and are not turning up the heat! I always used to turn it up to 5 so I'd have my toast quicker☺

Its a parody of American attitudes to foreign people and their belief that imposing their 'values' on others is a just and noble undertaking. Its not 'racist' - thats missing the point entirely.

Not sure if it had been said before but for some reason I always thought LinkedIn was pronounced Lin-ked-in. It was only when I was asked was I on it did the penny drop.

    It's really not a parody.

Ive just starting baking a few things for the day that's coming, and I have just noticed that I don't need to weigh the butter.
There are markings in blocks of 50gm's on the wrapper.

They're called Trojan condoms because your dick is like a horse, made of wood, full of little soldiers, infiltrating a heavily-guarded fortress

Seeing as they spilled out through a hole in the side, I'm not sure that's such a good name.

I think it's a perfect name because Trojan condoms are ****in ****e at doing their job.

For years I thought the word unshed (as in unshed tears) was pronounced to rhyme with bunched - until I realised it meant not shed and then I twigged

Maybe not so obvious, but useful.

When watching a YouTube video, pressing the 'K' key on your keyboard will instantly pause/unpause the video.

Not all of them my husband argued this point with me until he had coffee with about half a cup of sugar he was sure it would stop so held out for far too long

That the word "Reindeer" really just means deer that can be driven in harness, with reins.

"While Shepherds Watched their Flocks By Night" has the same melody as "Greensleeves" (which you're humming now.)

When I was younger I had a Eureka moment when I realised that the word "shepherd" is a combination of "sheep" and "herd," cos that's what shepherds do best.

Uh, it's "what child is this" that has the same tune as greensleeves.
