    Options are
    1. Ameobi to Downing
    2. Siggy to Downing
    3. Ameobi to
      1. Yaya
      2. Silva
      3. Nasri
    4. Siggy to
      1. Yaya
      2. Silva
      3. Nasri
    5. Costa to RVP
    6. Wilson to Terry
    7. a combination of 2 from the previous 6.

Ameobi to Yaya and bench Siggy this GW in my opinion

Looking for some team advice here,

I currently have no city players or no hazard but have reached my Chelsea limit, I don't really want to lose any of sanchez, cesc, eriksen or costa and happy enough with kane and siggy too.

I'm not really too keen on Heaton's fixtures over the xmas, would I be mad to bring Brad jones in for Krul? he has 3 out of the next 4 at home. someone talk me out of this :D

another option is to just bank the transfer and then it gives me the possibility of dropping azpi for a cheap defender and getting hazard in.

at the moment I'm thinking I just sit tight on the transfer because even if I do bring jones in, they play arsenal this week so I could wait and see how things play out re toure/hazard and then if I'm not using my transfer to bring either of them in next week I could look at getting rid of krul. thoughts please? :)

You are considering a Liverpool player whose sole use is trying to get a clean sheet? My work here is done :pac:

I've got Hazard and am a huge fan but you should be fine with Fab and Costa over him

ha ha point taken :D I just want a cheap keeper that rotates well with heaton, guzan prob a better shout with sunderland and palace at home in gw19 & 20 but they play united this week and I already have hutton for those games so yeah I think i'll just bank it and keep options open for next week.

will be hiding behind the sofa everytime yaya or hazard go forward though.

EDIT: I just noticed Newcastle have nice fixtures too, coloccini for Bertrand is another option to free up .9 for my team but might just leave it til after this week too.

You reckon he's definiely a better option than Silva and to a lesser extent Nasri?

It's riskier with him on 4 yellows and AFCON soon, but last season showed that Yaya outscores those two without Aguero. Nasri won't play all of the time and Silva never seems to convince me as a FPL player.

@iroced: I'd bring Silva and Terry in for Ameobi and Wilson. That'd be a very tasty team then!

Spurs saying Ade back in contention. May effect Kane owners

Anyone going for Ben Davies? Seems to be keeping his place and gets forward well. Rose starting is a worry however. Would be a straight swap for Duff.

Yeah I know I actually made a post about it earlier on :P :pac:... But Yaya is not the same beast than last year (though he recently burst into form) and I'm thinking that the extra £2.0m could be worth used elsewhere in the next GWs... Although Chelsea play thrice away and I feel I may have missed the boat on Terry by notably not bringing him in last week he may still do well better than Naylor, Yun or Wilson. I also have Sterling in mind for GW18, 19 and/or 20...

Ah... This is the toughest choice I have to make for a long time since it'll influence the next 3 GWs.

    -- edit --

Just saw Sheroman post. Yeah that's a possibility I've been considering for a long time (ah I'm angry at myself I didn't get Terry last week and ignore my selfish pride about Ameobi. :pac:). Will tinker with it a little more...

    -- edit 2 --

@ Hogey. Why don't you gancy Hutton fixtures? Swansea away sound stough enough. But then Sunderland & Palace at home followed by Leicester away. Sounds good doesn't it?
Looking at your team, you may as well keep your FT for next GW. You can't get a City mid anyway unless you ditch one of your premium mid or you go for a "controversial" pt hit (I mean you'd have to drop 1 or 2 of your premium def).
City only beat Palace 1-0 at the Etihad last year so waiting & seeing may well be your best bet ;).

    -- edit 3 --

Just to come back on this Yaya/Silva/Nasri dilemma.

The Guardian have City lining-up as follows
    Hart
    Zab Demi Mangala Clichy
    Fernandinho Yaya
    Milner Silva Nasri
    Pozo
    while FFS have them
    Hart
    Zab Demi Mangala Kolarov
    Navas Fernando Yaya Milner
    Silva
    Nasri

Have you seen/heard any other formations?

    -- edit 4 --

Yaya leading by far the FFS captain poll may force my hand.

    FFS (C) poll top10
    Yaya - 21.6%
    RVP - 12.7%
    Austin - 9.4
    Costa - 8.8%
    Eriksen - 7%
    Hazard - 7%
    Rooney - 5.2%
    Silva - 5.2%
    Sanchez - 4.6%
    Bony - 4.1%

Yeah I think I'm gonna do Moore->Davies. I think he has the LB position nailed down. He may get one rest over xmas but it shouldn't be tomorrow because he was rested midweek. Very good Clean sheet possibility this week too.

    1. Swap Siggy for Nasri? yay or nay

Sakho for Ings for a hit after that?

Going to bank this gw transfer, feel confident enough in doing so, I honestly think it will pay off with the next 2 gw's being so close to each other.

Well then, it looks like I'm just gonna have to say a prayer that Palace manage to keep Yaya quiet. Looks like I may well regret waiting to get him in. I really wanted to see how City line up tomorrow before getting him.

I'm tired, I'm coming down sick, I can't sleep and lots of my targets are going up tonight while the likely lads out are going down.

I could take any size of hit tonight. I'm in that sort of mood.

Historically, hit's dont work out well for me at Christmas. I get loose with my points knowing I can change it all with the Jan wildcard

I waited all week intending to bank my transfer but finally caved in and made what will probably turn out to be my most important transfer this season:

    Duff to Yun

Oh yeah, let the points roll in!!! :D

    Bony in for Dzeko.

If i didn't miss Dzeko's price drop i could afford Siggy out - Silva in for a hit. 0.1 short to do it now:mad:

Bony's goals assisted by Siggy is all I ask for:D

Lack of Yaya, Silva, RVP or Rooney worries me a bit. It is a first time ever I have none of the players who are on top of the captain thread poll.

I have the other one - Austin. Well rested player hungry for goals:D

Can't shake the hunch that Milner is gonna start up front 2moro

If my transfers last night were a film, they'd be called "midnight regrets".

But, my friends, I'll stick by my decisions.

Still thinking Siggy to Nasri. Any opinions?

    Dzeko/Rooney -> RVP/Austin done

Kompany injury leaves me with no City Cover, and not much clue how to resolve it. A hit may be nesessary.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,274 ✭✭✭✭FHFC

Right, after sitting on it all week I think I've no option to do Kompany to Zab. I know there was a slight hint from Pelegrini yesterday that Kompany could be back sooner than expected, but even if he's fit next week he's unlikely to go straight from injured to two games in three days.

And what it also means I'd Demichelis is now more of a doubt to play all the games with Kompany now joining Boyata as likely to replace him on the 28th.

The Kompany injury has forced me to use a transfer I'd probably otherwise be banking, but bringing him in last week gained me 4 points which may now be spent on a hit next week. Plus it was Zab I really wanted last week, only reason i didn't go for him was I was fairly sure Sagna would play v Leicester.

  • ooops, forgot to make any changes :o

    / Banked a transfer...
