    Do any companies in Ireland offer paid internships for mechanical engineering students over the summer?

    You do see them advertised from time to time.

    Best bet is to email your lecturers to see if they know of any companies who do take people on.

    Then start contacting companies directly, the worst they can say is no (or nothing at all).
