Why is Boards gone sh1t lately? Where are all the regulars gone? The amount of closed accounts is very noticeable, but where have these people gone? Reddit? Twitter? WHERE?

At the end of the day the dark forces of the Illuminati have us all in the shade but some of us can see the light at the end of the tunnel and realise it's a case of the Emperor with no clothes wanting to have his cake and eat it.

    Going forward.

I close accounts a lot to keep me off it's addicting. To re reg requires a new email etc. So it keeps me off for a while.

I am not missed too much usually to be honest anyway.

There comes a point when everything's been discussed and you reach the end of the internet. At that point, you have to close out and turn back.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

boards has been the same for the past 10 years, or are you referring to thread on after hours...which often consists of many reposts ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,091 ✭✭✭Antar Bolaeisk

They've blocked you, you can't see any of their new posts or threads and their accounts show as closed to you but really they're all still here and laughing at you.

Some of the stuff they're posting in here for instance is hilarious.

I have been a poster on Boards for quite a while and I closed my account a few years ago because I got bored. I then opened this account but don't post very often. The site has become a lot more heavily moderated in the last few years and seems to be less fun. I have become more into Reddit in the past few months, Reddit seems to be better.

I still like Boards dont get me wrong but it is just not as good as it was a few years ago. I wonder does it have anything to do with the new crowd buying it and becoming more commercialised?

    .I have…
seen things you people wouldn't believe…
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
    All those…
    moments…
will be lost in time, like [small cough] tears…
    in…
    rain.
    Time…
    to die…

The only ****e thing about boards is the every time this subject comes up,
    is someone quotes bladerunner!!!
Seems to be the norm over the last week or two!

FF sake think outside of the bs box!
Plenty of b movies everyone can quote, besides it.!
Escape from new York, for one.
Time to move on and use
Some brain power. It's getting old now. Ffs

It's the influx of opinionated assholes who wouldn't even know about the internet if it wasn't for Facebook

Many posters appear to be blaming 'feminists' in particular looking at the number of threads generated on this topic recently

    Women eh!

I was dreaming about boards last night. Specifically about a thread started by MadsL (who I have never met, spoken to, PMed etc) stating he was moving to Portugal with an ex girlfriend and was looking for boardsies to start up a five a side soccer team.

It's probably posts of the quality of this one that has this place going to the dogs.

I agree. Mods are just mental these days. You can't have a good ruck anymore.

I originally started posting in 1912, not many people knew about the internet back then. It's just so commercial now man...

As for Reddit, think it was about 1882 when I first posted there. God those were the days.
