Wow that's cheap. Unfortunately other than Kirin Ichiban ive not liked many Asian beers. What are them two like?

Wow just noticed Hendricks gin for 3.95. It'll deffo be a taxi from Blackrock :D

TsingTsao and Kingfisher are fairly mainstream lagers. Neither would offend anyone.

it's not Cork gin, so it's probably shíte anyway, no wonder it's so cheap.

Seriously, Hendrick's would be regarded as a premium mainstream gin - not an astronomical price like some silly vodkas but certainly not cheap ****e. Generally served with cucumber rather than lemon, many people covet the Hendrick's tea set.

CDG is grand but I would see Hendrick's as standing above it.

so in JDW, I can have a steak and 4 pints for 24.45.
In my local a steak and 4 pints costs - 41.15 (Heiniken btw :)

    discuss?

    On a Tuesday it will cost 11.95 + 7.50 = 19.45

    Interesting.

Doom Bar / Admans / Fuller's Lp are 1.80 stg, so the 2.50 here is good value, given higher overheads, etc.

The UK 33cl / USA 355ml bottles are 2.49 stg, so the 2.45 here is a bargain.

Erdinger / Krombacher 50cl are 2.89 stg, so again our 2.95 is a bargain.

Comment: some of the Dublin prices seem too low in comparison, given the higher wages/overheads in Dublin vs. Coleraine.

Just heard from the barman in TTT that Beamish will be back here, but not the other Heineken beers, and not in The Forty Foot. Nobody's fighting against Beamish brand devaluation, I guess.

You've a bit more gin research to do my friend. I think you'll find on drinking that Hendricks is a rather good gin. CDG is just good enough gin.

I'm not sure how anyone could make the connection to be honest.

Its €1.50 for small bottle so I'm not sure how you're working that out. €3 euro a pint versus €2.50-2.95 a pint of whatever beer or ale you're drinking.

Either way its cheap compared to every other pub in the country for a pint of coke. Think the last one I got in a hotel was €5.80

I was in the 40 foot today for lunch, it's quite stylish on the inside.

Don't get your hopes up over the food though.

    I find this very amusing.

On another note, Tesco are currently selling six-packs of Murphy's for €15  Perhaps that's their new premium stout.

First Guinness and now Murphy's.. Looks like craft tax is contagious and crosses species!

400ml glass of pepsi or lemonade, postmix presumably, for €1.95 so approx. €2.50 a pint.

Certainly better than the standard Irish on trade drinkaware policy of promoting designated drivers by squeezing every last cent out of them for soft drinks.
