Not at all. United can match the contracts that other clubs may offer. Suarez got too big for Liverpool; United have similar quality in other positions.

Can they match the weather and his girlfriends residence as well as his families residence? And right now Madrid have more chance of trophies on every front than Utd.

How do you know his personal weather preference or for that matter anything about him?

People love to spout ****e about things, even when its plainly obvious you haven't a ****ing notion of anything at all.

    04 MU 1 - 1 Southampton
    05 MU 3 - 2 Stoke City
    06 MU 1 - 0 Arsenal
    07 MU 2 - 2 Tottenham
    08 MU 0 - 1 Everton
    09 MU 0 - 1 Newcastle United
    10 MU 1 - 2 Tottenham
    11 MU 1 - 3 Chelsea
    12 MU 1 - 2 Stoke City

I've no idea what will happen with De Gea, but outwardly he appears pretty happy at the club. There seems to be a real sense of camaraderie and team spirit among some of the squad, which could count for a lot. On the other hand, it's impossible to know how much of that is staged.

I don't, I'm not the one speaking in retarded statements that have no factual basis.

    That's you.

If I'm a multi-millionaire in my 20s and I have a choice of playing for a big club in a big city like Barcelona, Madrid and Paris or the North West of England, I know what my preference would be. To ignore this as a factor is deluding yourself.

I think we'll get one more contract out of DDG anyway, but wouldn't be surprised if he eventually leaves to one of the big 2 in Spain.

Yeah and next season, those who wish De Gea wasn't with us will have to watch and see that player is gonna play, play, play...

When it comes to his contract he will see that blank space and will write his name.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭Gits_bone

Only when you have an agenda and not posting crap with no basis.

Why won't ddg go to Germany or Italy? Why Madrid? Why not bayern?

But sure I like to play with my food and the crazies that come along every so often.

    blahblahblah-factual basis.

Does everything need to be written in the history books before you believe it or see it happening?

You were probably all saying last season Moyes lost the dressing room, or Vidic got thrown out of the club from Moyes when it suits ye. WHere's the fact there?

I agree, he will return to Spain at some point, but not yet.

But then if you're a millionaire you can go anywhere you want? so where you live isn't a problem.

The only fact here is that you're talking out of your hole, and not the one in your head.

If signing De Gea to a new contract was as simple as offering it to him, he would have signed a new contract. The fact he hasn't means either he, or his agent (Mendes) is playing some games. Maybe just to get the biggest deal he can off United, or maybe to engineer a move to Real Madrid.

Come this summer he will have one year left on his deal. The Ronaldo to United speculation will start again (esp. of Reus goes to Madrid as some are reporting). Falcao's loan deal will be up with either United or Madrid the likely destinations he'll aim for. Mendes the agent at the centre of it all.

Several of your fans have indicated already it's possible he'll go to Madrid.

I didn't realise I had fans, stop it, you're making me blush.

If you can't tell the difference between citing a possibility, and stating speculation as fact, then you just aren't worth mine, or anyone else's time, so there's no point taking you seriously in any way at all.

It's also possible that he quits football and joins the circus next week. Everything is possible...so is the notion he signs a new contract and stays with United for the foreseeable future.

In other news: Its possible another Utd player may move to another club at some point in his career.

Some real eye openers on the thread today!

Where did I say he's going to go for definite. I think he'll probably go in a few years.

To give you the gist of what this "Liverpool" fan is about, he wants to sign Robbie Keane and Jordan Rhodes as Liverpools first team strikers, with the mighty Alan Pardew managing them :pac: :pac: :pac: :pac: :pac: :pac: :pac: :pac: :pac: :pac:

Must be cold under the bridge at Christmas time.

Does anyone have any actual factual lowdown on his affinity to Athletico apart from the usual conjecture?

This is the only way I see him not ending up at Real in the medium term.

I presume its the same way the voting is done in England for PFA player of the year. anyway if you watched any Spanish football he was the stand out goalkeeper by a mile last season.
