A win tomorrow consolidates third place. A must win game.
No surprise with Chelsea or city.

S'hampton have lost and West Ham have dropped points neither were going to e long term top 4 challengers though but depending on arsenals result today, I think the current top 3 will finish in the top 4 and it depends who else can take the last UCL spot.

I was looking down. Are you still confident of a title shot?

If City had drawn a win tomorrow would have made it 3 between them and United. Maybe Chelsea are insurmountable but certainly not City.

I imagine a few of the mods waking up tomorrow and realising the United Liverpool game is on...

If Utd can keep all 11 players on the field and play with anything remotely close to their potential then we should win fairly convincingly.

    - Our impressive home record
    - Liverpools abysmal form of late
    - RVP and Rooney finding form
    - DDG playing out of his skin
    - Michael Carricks back shielding the defence
    - Liverpools lack of a credible striker
    - Mignolets lack of confidence
    - Liverpools defence

Logic points to a Utd win.

    Why am I not confident ? :(

Because Gerrard is going to go Super Saiyan one final time.

I'm never too confident in games against Pool, always guarantee that they will be up for it as I imagine we are the team they want to beat the most every year. Sometimes form goes out the window and it all comes down to the day. Hopefully no slip ups and we get the points.

So, eff all different from the actual one position wise - the gap to Chelsea and City is smaller due to the stupid points we dropped early on.

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.

Lecister and Burnley were the stupid points lost this season so far.

I'm still absolutely mystified how we lost to Leicester. We conceded two soft goals for them to level it, then we panicked, threw everyone forward and were murdered on the counter by Championship and League 1 standard footballers.

We actually played some great football initially, esp. with ADM amazing chip but Leicester played the game of their lives. 5 shots on target, 5 goals.

It was just one of the games, a complete fluke on their part. Certs to be relegated.

If we had have gotten 3 points each from the games v. Leicester and Burnley we'd be sitting on 33 points now; 3 points behind City, with a win tomorrow bringing us level with them in 2nd.

That Leicester result in particular haunts my fúcking dreams.

I was at the AI final in 2012 when Donegal beat Mayo and the same day United beat the Pool. I remember it being a sign that the day would go well when I heard United were winning. Then 2014, United cruising to an easy win against Leicster, Donegal level with Kerry. Then the whole ****ing day implodes. Durkin and Blackett give away howlers and the whole day went to ****e. That haunts my dreams Stankratz. That haunts my dreams.

Or if arsenal or Southampton took any of their chances. You would be 17 points off the top.

We hardly created anything in the Burnley game, so can't complain about points dropped. Leicester on the other hand *phew*

True that, but in that reality we'd still be looking down the table at the Pool.
