Eircom FTTH

Mods, feel free to delete/move as appropriate. I haven't actually noticed a thread for Eircom FTTH, if there happens to be one. So anyway, I was looking at the map on the wholesale site and clicked on the Balina exchange and it says: Is this new or have I just not noticed it before?

So anyway, I was looking at the map on the wholesale site and clicked on the Balina exchange and it says:

6520 premises in this exchange can now access up to 100Mb/s fibre broadband. This is a planned FTTH exchange with speeds up to 1000Mb/s when complete.

Is this new or have I just not noticed it before?
