I am wondering if anyone has any advice on ideas to automate a land vehicle going from point A to point B and back again? I was thinking running IR leds along the path to guide it but I am sure there are better ways.

GPS is an option but I am worried because it needs to go to a very specific point that the GPS won't be accurate.

    Any advice welcome.

    Matt

Can you not use GPS and a co-ordinate system to reference both point and let the vehicle find its way between.
