Hello Coronation Street people, I only watch this programme when Im cooking in the kitchen and the flatmates have it on so apologies if its been discussed but has anyone noticed the almost psychotic way the writers have people talking about Rob? He killed a long term character 5 minutes ago and tonight Michelle and Carla who were her friends and coworkers were laughing about him wearing funny clothes and trying to kiss Michelle? And everyone else in the pub has a "fcuk it, sh1t happens" kind of attitude about the whole murdering a young woman with an iron bar thing aswell. Theres a million other stupid little things I couldn't be bothered listing aswell, have they sacked a load of writers or did the whole thing change ownership or something like that?

Julie and Dev would be very funny together so I hope they do become a long term relationship.
I can't help wondering if Mary took up what Dev said as being an indicator that she could be the lucky one ;).

Yeah, I don't think that this is the end of Mary's pursuit of Dev by any stretch. The writers should get some good mileage out of it!

Speaking of couples who should be together, when will Rita and Norris finally declare their love for each other?

Well there was certainly a lot of grief over the death of Tina (that was a huge storyline in itself). Poor little Simon was traumatised, and Steve is suffering from mental health problems in the wake of her passing.

As for the lighter side to Rob (one thinks of him playing the cricket this summer), I think that is the sign of good writing. We got to see that other people really liked him, and indeed he may have done things that made us like him as well. So he wasn't a one-dimensional murderer... but a much more tragic character.

I liked Rob and wished that was Peter who killed her.

What in the name of blazzes is Anna making a lunch for Gary? Can he not do it himself?
Good girl Alya for showing up that snob Sally.

Typical of Michelle to ogle over that guy in the massage place, if Steve was doing that, she would have gave him an elbow in the ribs. One law for them, another for others....

Why does Gary have a bad mattress? Why not take the one from the last house? Since they owned it and all.

Also Tracey needs to **** off for a while, dead boring and non-sensical stuff.

If Tracy really wanted to marry Rob, why didn't she take off with him and Amy instead of shopping him to the cops

Carla shopped him to the police not Tracy, he was on the run when he met up with Tracy and she had told the police where she was meeting him because she didn't want to do jail again she was looking out for herself

If that had been Carla coming into the factory, when Alya was there with Gary, she would be finding the place deserted, with no alarm set, and lights on.
So Alya just went off with Gary, and then handed back the keys to Sally, without going back to check anything... Hmmm.

If he was the big love of her life she would have gone off with him and Amy I think

I get your logic, I never thought of it like that......... I don't think things have been "put to bed" between Carla and Tracey.

Is Kevin that mainly he couldn't just throw a blanket over the stain on the couch but yet a big red lips couch is ok ?

Imagine arriving home to find a big red sofa in your house :D. 'Mick Jagger blowing a raspberry.' Sally and Tim are hilarious.

Oh I dunno...I'm watching them on the player here and Philomena is a classic.

They both had facials and next scene they have a full face of slap in and Michelle's eyes were like Cleopatras.

Tim is by far the best character in the show these days. Very funny is his own way & his scenes with Sally are the only thing making me tune in these days :-)

They heard the door opening and assumed (incorrectly) that it was Carla who would have had her own keys.

Yes, but Alya just went off, and apparently thought no more about it (being so besotted with Gareh ), so if it was Carla, she would have found an apparently deserted factory, with the alarm unset...

I know,it was only scribbles in permanent marker anyway, not a stain that would cause any problems sitting on the thing. Bit of an overreaction!

He could have looked at it as being personalised by his child's artwork like Angelina Jolie's wedding dress!!

    True.
I've forgotten what Jack looks like, in fact, I'd forgotten he exists until this story about him scribbling on the couch.

What struck me was, Kevin and Sophie having a big discussion outside the door about it...nobody on Corrie ever seems to worry about work, getting to work on time etc. Just meander along the street, whenever...
