Im trying to fill my team with players who are as rotation proof as possible for the coming weeks. What are peoples best guesses at players who'll last the schedule? It could be handy if we managed to compile a list of our best guesses. I think the ideal candidate is someone like austin or ings who is vital to their team, is playing in a team that is desperately scrapping for points and a team that played 46 games last season. Id be highly surprised if either of them got rested, particularly austin. Its obviously a dangerous game filling your squad with relegation fodder though, who are the top tier players likely to avoid rotation? For some reason im confident hazard wont be rested but i cant explain why.

Bony. Heading to the ACON in early Jan so can't see him getting rested too much

As long as City are chasing Chelsea, I see Aguero as rotation proof.
    Unless he's broke, he's playing.

Will get subbed when games are in the bag.

My Xmas plan is surprisingly clear in my head now. So no doubt will be in pieces by the weekend.

Team for GW17 will look like this...
    Green
    Terry, Zabaletta (or Demi), Dummet
    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Downing,
    RVP, Bony, Costa

    Hamer, Boyd, Duff, Hutton

Plan to bank in GW18 as while City attacking coverage would be nice Eriksen has another nice fixture. 2 Fts and probably a hit for GW19 to bring in Jovetic, Sterling and Nasri/Silva for Eriksen, Downing, and Costa.

    GW19 team therefore
    Green
    Zab, Terry, Hutton
    Sanchez, Hazard, Silva/Nasri, Sterling
    Jovetic, RVP, Bony

Bony out the week after probably.

If RVP goes off the boil or Costa goes on the boil over next couple of weeks they may change the plan, but I think Costa will definitely not play both GW18 and 19.

Definite lack of Charlie Austin up top.

He's on my mind, but do I drop Bony for him? I think having Sterling and 2 City attacking players in for 19 - 20 when Liverpool play Swansea and Leicester at home and City play Burnley and Sunderland at home is a good aim. Hopefully Sterling gets a rest in the meantime and we'll also have a fair idea which City players are likely to play both games.

I could happily part with Bony for Austin anytime from after Swans have Villa at home GW18 but don't have the transfers to spare.

This is my team, I've 1.2m in the bank and changes made for GW17 (Silva in)

As i've seen posted the christmas schedule is key to FPL...SO what improvements/must haves do i need that dont involve huge point hits?

    Forster

    Wisdom Ivanovic Bertrand

    Silva Mata Eriksen Sigurdsson Hazard

    Kane Costa

    SUBS: Chambers Berahino Schmeichel Schlupp

How important is a strong front 8 for this period? I'm currently on:

    Hazard Sanchez Siggy Downing Boyd
    Bony Benteke Austin

and am pretty set on doing Boyd to Yaya for a -4. I figure Bony, Benteke, Austin, Downing, and Siggy are immune from rotation. Boyd is on 4 yellows and has terrible fixtures so I wouldn't really fancy him coming in for an unexpected Hazard or Sanchez rest. I know Yaya is on 4 yellows as well, but I'm willing to risk it since he would be a great captain option for GWs 19/20

I'm planning on risking it with Boyd on the basis that I'll have a 433 option. Not a fantastic one, but if Boyd misses out or has a horrible fixture I'll call on Dummet or Hutton.

The strong front 8 isn't a strategy I like long term, but I have so much spare money now and would wildcard straight away in Jan. My only deterrent is bench points which I'll just have to accept. This would also allow me to bench Downing at Chelsea on Boxing Day.

I get the strong front 8 strategy for xmas, my problem is not enough transfers to do it from here and with the two or three changes I want to make. My only upgrade for xmas really is having two premium defenders having been super cheap at the back thus far.

    I'm taking a risk I know.

Right. While everyone is getting crazy about who to transfer in and who to captain this week, I'm stuck at home with a nasty flu and have no idea what to do transfer & captain wise this week... So figured I'd take some time to finalise the full list of PL players who featured during all or most of last year 4 "Christmas games". Maybe it'd give me some inspiration...

A thorough follow-up to last month Busts opener really ;). Now draw any conclusions you want about it :P...

Just to be clear. I used a kind of number coding e.g. Berahino (1+2x0.5+0.1) = played 1 full (or > 60 min) game, 2 games during 45 min and 1 game where he came in in the last ~10 min. From 0.7 it's a > 60 min game. Used that "coding" because some regular subs did score well enough from limited gametime.
Then I listed the players who performed (g=goal, a=assist, og=own goal, RC=red card) and the amount of CS.
    Enjoy ;).

Considering a punt on Benteke for Sunderland (h) Crystal Palace (h) and Leicester (a). By selling RVP for him it would allow me to get Silva and Zab in, giving me the following team for GW19:

    Panti
    Terry Zab Gibbs
    Yaya Silva Sanchez Hazard
    Benteke Bony Austin

Like the look of that team.

A Moore to Hutton transfer and Yun recovering will give me a full slate of starters barring Mannone. I should be able to cover any unexpected rotation issues.
