friedel has matured since we let him go. Might be worth a punt.:)

Matured? Thats putting it mildly. 40 something at this stage.

its horrible horrible stuff to watch. Can't defend, can't pass, midfield has more holes than a block of emmental, cluelss going forward. I'll stop there.

Two left backs fit but we'll put Johnson across.

Are you trying to get sacked Brendan???

Fecks sake - Michael Owen "Gerrard answers his critics". That is the trouble with Gerrard everyone is in such thrall to him a goal will be enough to be used as evidence of him being undroppable when his mere presence means the whole team is unbalanced.

Best run of the season - 3 games undefeated
2nd best win of the season - Only the second time in all competitions we have won by more than 1 goal.

Still a fairly crap performance though.

It isn't Pretty, but a Win is a Win.

Credit to Lallana, Gerrard, and Hendo for Scoring.

Though I feel all our Goals were a bit Fortuitous. But maybe it's a Sign that Lady Luck has finally Decided to Grace us this Season.

I don't think there were any Outstanding Performer in that Game, I'll still give the MOTM to Gerrard. I don't think I've seen him Ran or Competed this much, in a long time.

Maybe he really needs to be Rested every other Game, to make him Effective. Since it Worked Out well for him Today.

Awful performance really rode our luck at times but we are grinding out these results finally. Another very winnable game at the weekend now before the old Trafford showdown.

Bit harsh there, granted he done nothing in the first half but he was superb in the second.

Todays role is the only position we should be playing him in though.

That's a joke, right? Nobody on that pitch was superb tonight for us. The only superb part of this game were our supporters. Awful performance in the first half, average in the second.

Clawing our way back to some sort of form so ill take that, performance wasn't the best but nice to get a couple of goals. Need a good run or results coming up to the basle game.

We always were going to need to grind out some results to get a bit of confidence back in the side. We just need now to see that translate into performances over the coming weeks.

If we can continue to grind out results then its only a good thing. Wins breed confidence.

We are so blunt up front though, its such a contrast to last season.Sentimentality aside, Lambert is decent player but not good enough for a club chasing top 4 (or wanting to challenge for titles).

So often tonight Sterling was the only attacking outlet and had no support up alongside him.

It was a terrible performance against a 10 man Leicester but we got the 3 points. Onwards to Sunderland. Grind out another one against them and then its a massive game against Basle and then another massive game against United.

Credit to rodgers he finally made the tough decisions with regards lovren and Gerrard and it's paid off just wish he had done it sooner!

Toure isn't great but his anticipation and positioning is very good and a vast improvement on lovren.

When Sakho is fit I would like to see him partner toure and see how it goes.

Great to see lucas doing his stuff again, I had him written off but you forget he still only 27. He does the simple stuff well.

Good to win anyway. We probably have to try and grind results out for the next while until January comes and we can hopefully get a new keeper in and hopefully get Sturridge back and/or new striker.

If I was offered 2nd place right now for Liverpool, I'd refuse it.

We're gonna win it all lads. Two wins in a row, it's our year.

Team is obviously fragile atm but we've ground out two wins in a few days so have to be happy. There were glimpses of the 'swagger' from last year, ie few off the cuff backheels, short interplay etc.. Mighty to see Gerrard playing in the attacking role, he deserved that goal (from open play:eek:)
