Damn unfortunate for Shaw, he was really starting to show what he could do after a slow start this season. Hope his injury isn't too bad.

Not pretty but a win is a win. Happy enough.

"If Arsenal had scored in the first 20 minutes, Van Gaal said after the game, "I would have to answer all of your questions about picking three defenders. Now I can laugh."

Haha he's nuts isn't he!?! Brilliant.

Super win, absolutely delighted with that.

    Smalling was excellent i thought.

Really like McNair as a defender, doesn't have size but reads things very well, he is doing really well so far.

Big fan of his, but thought he was exposed badly at times today. He lacks the pace of Smalling thats for sure.

Still tho, he hasnt let us down since he signed and has been pretty good all things considered and he can only get better! Wed have been f*cked without him.

Blackett gave some Hospital balls back to DdG today. He really didn't look assured there at all imo.

We were lucky De Gea got the ok to play, that was too much footwork to ask of any goalkeeper today.

Great result. Took years off my life!

As for the headbutt, it's just another example on the pile of evidence that players go down softly because refs won't do their job otherwise.

Great result for us, once again De Gea showing his class. The defence had to deal with a lot of pressure today but did well and came so close to the clean sheet.

The international break might have helped us a bit in terms of returning players and preparation, looking forward to us hopefully going on a run now. To come away with 4 points from Chelsea, City and Arsenal is a good sign. Only one game but a big game nonetheless!

Beat Liverpool and Southampton and we're flying...

Genuinely huge result in terms of getting some momentum in to this season. In truth we didn't deserve it but will take it all day long. Would have been great if Di Maria could have finished off that one on one, not only to make the final minutes less edgy but also for his own confidence.

I love the way Match of the Day don't even mention little jack wilshires attempted head butt on Fellaini. Typical English media at its best.

That is true, very bizarre it wasn't talked about. Normally when a player leaves and elbow in or anything the discuss it. Wilshere should thank his lucky stars Fellaini didn't make a meal of it.

Photoshop will haunt him for years after this one, any news on Shaw yet?

As said above, unreal no mention of the wilshere incident. Hard to believe RVP only had 12 touches. Anyway lads, super win today. Good night.

De Gea just watches loads of Malcolm in the Middle. He gets to punch anyone that looks at the pic.

Not the place of course, but just finished watching the boxing and to quote a guy on twitter, I didn't even pay for that and I want a refund

    No word on Shaw yet?

Southampton ahould be the next team to come back to Earth. Next 5 games includes, City, Arsenak, Us and Everton. They have Chelsea in their next 7 as well.

The more daylight we put between us and the likes of Spurs and Pool the better. Top 4 is the ultimate goal this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,721 ✭✭✭Al Capwned

Al's a happy camper after that result today.

I love our keeper, I really do. We should break records to make sure he stays for years to come.

Well if you take Southampton out if it. We are third.

Don't see why we can't get third

Rooney's goal was a breath of fresh air, not very often have we been able to counter quickly

Rooney looks like a happy French baker

Wilshere tried to headbutt Fellaini twice, and the ref didn't even book him.

Great result, even with the injury list, but hey United beat Arsenal with 7 defenders before soo....:D

Hopefully F.A. will intervene and punish Wilshire. Though he will prob be injured for most of it.
