My home Download per month seems to be always just under or around 450GB

Is this normal, or is my gang very hungry ?

    Broadband Usage History

    Download... Upload....................Total
    Nov.. 358.70 GB, 2.64 GB.............361.34 GB
    Oct.. 401.60 GB, 10.12 GB............411.72 GB
    Sep.. 346.12 GB, 4.38 GB.............350.50 GB
    Aug.. 451.53 GB, 26.62 GB............478.15 GB
    Jul.. 398.60 GB, 41.16 GB............439.76 GB

I am with UPC and for the most, am very happy.

I't about the same as me. Very hungry compared to most, but by no means all.
Due to your low upload i assume you watch a lot of hd streaming vids?

Upc's top packages dont have a usage cap so you are fine.

Normally only >150GB, but if I had a 150-200 Mbps package with UPC I'd say that'd easily triple

About 410GB... chafing under Vodafone's stupid 300GB "unlimited" service.

pewh.... so we are normal,, was worried.

We have 200MB package from UPC, and TV shows in HD is mostly what we munch..
Two of the gang have 4G phones, but thank god it's wifi they munch mostly.
I hide sometimes, just in case they ask for 4G plans as well.

A year ago we were only going through about 100 - 150gb a month, then fibre showed up and that effectively doubled. Now 100% of our tv viewing is through a htpc with more and more content via HD streaming and very little being ripped from DVDs. Once you get used to HD its difficult to go back to DVD resolution. Which of course is exactly the moment Vodafone decided to enforce their 300gb FUP. Fuppers.

I'm backing up a lot of HD home movies, laptop backups and camera RAW files to the cloud too which is clocking up the GB. Upload was 100gb last month.

There's 4 of us in the house and the eldest has now discovered internet video so I imagine data consumption will only increase in the next 15 years!

Since the 7th I've used 1143.70 GB, so eh, I wouldn't be worried about your usage at all :p

I have to say,, I really could not live without the Broadband, and you really do get used to great TV shows in HD,, Sons of Anarchy in 1080p on a good TV has to be seen to be believed.

When the big rock from space sends us back to the stone age, we'er bringing the Broadband with us...

    I'm between 90 and 110Gb per month.

I'd watch an hour or so of Netflix per day and 30 minutes of HQ Youtube videos.

Other than that it's mostly browsing.

I'm old, I remember Ireland pre UPC ,, They changed the Broadband landscape in Ireland,, and yes yes I know they are not perfect, but like I said,, I'm old, and pre UPC I had a 2MB land line from Eircom. The line rental was was more than UPC were asking me for when I left them and joined UPC on 25MB.
