Definitely a Tim and Anna affair on the cards so!

Tim and Sally are one of the best paired couples on the street since the heyday of Jack & Vera and Stan & Hilda. The writers would be idiots to split them up. Getting one of them to have an affair is simply lazy writing, the Street resembles a swingers club at this stage.

Is the Phelan storyline done? I thought Owen might get some payback and revenge

He's in Dubai, he sent a postcard a while ago, so I reckon he might make a show around Owen's leaving. Phelan was played by a superb actor, he was a great character .... and everytime I see Brie I just think how malleable it is. :-)

Ban me for life* for not putting spoiler tags on this but ....
    Next Monday 7:30
Finally, Norris finally tracks down his elusive parcel. He's touched to discover that it's a telescope from Ramsay that he must have sent before he died.

    I can finally sleep.
Three weeks of missing a delivery package and we finally find out what it is... HALLELUJAH

*Don't Ban me :L Could leave Boards a Happy Chappy!

I'm not. Under normal circumstances it would be fine, but he's supposed to be depressed. He's treating Michelle horribly, and acting out of character in the rest of his life.
If someone is suffering from depression, they don't suddenly get cheerful and positive in a different environment. It pervades their whole life.

It doesn't make sense in terms of the storyline being about depression.

I liked the bit when Sally and Tim were lying on the sofa, she had forgiven him and they patted each others arms:D

Just saw the full episode today. That was sweet. They are made for one another.

I think it does. People suffering from depression are often very up or very down & can be so in different environments or with different people. It would be far more unrealistic if he were moping constantly coz that's not necessarily how depression works. How often have we heard of someone suffering from depression & thought "but he always seemed so upbeat to me"? Robin Williams is a case in point.

And his black mood is easier to inflict on those he loves & feels pressure from (Michelle, his mum etc) than acquaintences who he'd feel he has to be "normal" with.

I think fair play to Corrie, they do seem to do their research on issues like this & treat them sensitively & realistically.

I have to say that from my own experience of a relative with depression that wasn't the case. We're not talking about manic depression here.

I'm no expert, and you could be right about that, but it doesn't sit right with me.

Every scene Gail and Michael are in is like a flashback to boring Sunday evenings and last of the summer wine episodes!

Is Steve having a midlife-crices or is it depression, or do the two go hand-in-hand?

I have no time for Corrie anymore pains me to say I'd rather watch Stan and
Hilda or Vera and Jack on youtube even without HD.
Corrie has lost it's magic Michelle is forgetful, she's always on so I turn it off.

I seriously live in hope of that. She's only a few years older than me and I've always had the hots for her. :)

They are dragging their storyline to the hilt. I think my eyes and ears glaze over when they appear on screen now. I thought there might be a bit of comedy with them, David can be funny at times in scenes with them, but other than that...

I'm guessing Michelle and Steve are going to split up. (I haven't read any spoilers to that effect). I just can't feel sorry for her, even when I think I should.

Rubbish tonight. Norris and his stupid parcel, it could have been a light storyline for one or two nights, not all this time.

Can anyone give me a recap of the first episode? Missed it :(

Why isn't Mary there?! I thought he was bringing Mary? Just remembering now how much I missed Dev's cheesy, smarmy attempts to flirt with women.

    #loveDev

Mary had an adverse reaction to false eyelashes!

well! you're in for a treat! Norris at last saw his delivery guy arrive and ran to retrieve his most sought after parcel but alas it wasn't to be! it was in fact a delivery for kylie but ( and this was the hilarious part) in the background we could see his actual parcel arriving to a once again empty house and despite all us viewers (in keeping with the pantomime season mode) shouting ' ITS BEHIND YOU' he yet again missed it! Oh how we laughed! It was pure bafta winning stuff tbh!

Michael's son arrived. He is the image of him. Not!

I laughed when Michelle was going to pull the wiper off Steves car and when he calmed her down and told her to stop he would talk to her he checked the wipers were working again before he even looked at her:D
