    If I ran fibre from my house to the exchange, approx 200m...I wonder would they??

    Yeah, Im one of the lucky few to be in a fibre enabled area, but because Im connected to the exchange and not a cabinet, i dont get any shiny goodness.

    Exchange launched VDSL is coming soon.

    You are much more likely to get that then for Eircom to run Fibre to the exchange for you. You can get that done, but it typically costs tens of thousands.

    Hi BK,

    Yeah was told theres a solution in development, but it will be mid 2015 (read 2016) before its rolled out seemingly. The exchange is only about 200m away, stanley knife and some cellotape and Id be good to go ;)

    Ugh....

    Ah could be worse, I'm on 20M at the moment, and its pretty solid, the upload would be really helpful though.

    There wont be customer facing OLT cards available, even if you ran the length they wouldnt be able to connect you.

    Asking for a ftth run just for you is like asking for a Luas spur to be laid right to your door. Ain't going to happen :(
