Anyone see the bikes in clarehall?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 900 ✭✭✭polydactyl

A friend looked in Clarehall for them Friday lunchtime and was told by staff that there was none left and it was a "one day deal" on the Thursday which is obv not true. I suspect they never made it out of the store room.

In commented and answered before I got a chance to even comment,

But, thats what I was thinking, WHEREEEEE?
Probably seems obvious when people are reporting the bargain or maybe they dont think, would it be possible for posters to name the shop and location.
Many posters name the Tesco shops by their locally known name.
Couldn't it just be (an example) Clarehall, Finglas. Square, Tallaght. Dodsboro, Lucan. Maynooth (Kildare). Or even with the county name after them, (Clondalkin, Clondalkin, Dublin 22). I wouldnt have a clue what the local names of all Tescos in Dublin other than those very near to me. Maynooth or some others might be an exception because they are larger, better known, but if someone isnt from an area, they might not be exactly certain where the Tesco offer is on and wont know if its worth their while or possible to do the journey.
    Thanks.

Also, wouldnt you think any offers would be out by the managers instruction, surely people cant be holding them (either all or some) back, maybe there isnt that many to sell?

No I was talking about the Bikes, she said the bikes were a one day deal as my friend found one and it scanned for 49 euro. As for staff holding them it could be as simple as they "put them out" and take them immediately to the till. They are customers too.

Willing to travel to get 2 (within reason).
    I didn't buy @ 159- as I couldn't justify it.

    Anyone know?

Need to be careful to ensure you are getting a bargain, stuff reduced might be just coming into line with other prices.

the Buffalo 500gb wireless was also marked down to 49.57 or so. Nearly bought it but then was trying to figure out what i'd actually use it for.

They were marked down to 169, then 159- and according to another poster on this thread- further reduced to 129...... which is a price point I am happy with.......

Galway is too far for me though :(

I got loads of LED Phillips light bulbs (E27 screw) 8W (to 48W) for 3.60, reduced from 20 euro.

The light seems strong, it is warm white so suitable for house and I got reductions on ebay from E27 to B22.

There were also other types reduced to something over 3 euro but they were all only 6W (25W). Got them in Clonmel.
