    hi,

Recently steering in my Lexus became a very weird, by weird I mean that every time car is going on uneven surface/speed bumps steering wheel is moving from left to right, kinda shaky feeling. Had a four wheel alignment done and everything was in position so it not that, whats the next step to take ?

    cheers

decent mechanic, could be as simple as track rod ends needing replacing, or worn bushes on suspension.

would you recommend any mechanic to take a look at this ? lots of cowboys out there ...

    That'd depends where you're based.

plenty of people will recommend you a place to go, if you say where you're based

Dublin is out of my zone, but to be honest, in my experience, friends/families are the best sources.

Sounds like a suspension problem, possibly shock absorber. Nearest I'd recommend is Dave curry motors in Rathgar.

In Dublin 7, theres a garage called immal motors, they have a small little garage on the left of the road leading up to christ the king church, 2 sound lads in there, i alway use them, and would recommend to anyone, not bad on price either

I'm no expert could be something like you suggested, that's just what it sounds like to me. 80k miles would be soon but age can affect it and the type of driving you do, lots of motorway or very little would make a big difference...

What are your tyres like ??

Sounds like possibly a twisted tyre.

Btw I was thinking wheels (dent/crack) or tyres initially as well, but as you said it happens on uneven roads it would point more towards a suspension issue. Bad wheels/tyres are more noticeable on good/even roads and behaviour would change (worsen) with speed.
