Just reply to the last message that has a table in it. Press enter after the last person's time. Copy someone else's line down and delete text/replace with your data. Leave the pipes to maintain the columns and, whatever you do, (a) don't delete the word "table" and brackets at beginning and end of passage; or (b) don't delete someone else's line/details.

Maybe there is an easier but that seems to work. Wish I could be putting some data in for real for myself!

Getting to the start line healthy is the goal, everything else is a bonus.

Pretty sure that is last year's elevation profile.

I think you are right Ray.

Just for fun I put the DM map for 2014 (new one) into MapMyRun, here's the comparison elevation (new 2014 is on top, old 2013 is below):

wish I didn't look at that. It feels a lot easier to run than the elevation profile suggests.

Undecided on the target at the moment, hoping for sub 3:50 though.

The vertical scale goes up to 100m and the horizontal scale goes out to 42195m. Any bump in the road will look massive

Looks flatter than last year, a few hills seem to have been taken out. Have they moved the finish line too?

About as hilly as last year, I would say. We finish running up mount street this year. Fenian street, Westland row, Pearse street, Nassau street are all out, the extra miles are in before and around the park

Not trying to be a dick but the DCM is a running event. Why not do a charity walk instead? I bet you'd surprise yourself if you started running/jogging- a marathon is achievable for anyone who puts in the time!

Not being a dick but the DCM is not exclusively a running event.

If nobody is being a dick then I'll be a dick. DCM = Dublin City Marathon

    Marathon
    noun
a long-distance running race, strictly one of 26 miles 385 yards (42.195 km).

The scale is very skewed. The biggest "climb", for instance, is from 5.2k to 11.7k, where it gains less than 70m in elevation. That's an average gradient of slightly over 1%.

If you've trained on Dublin streets (or trained anywhere approximating a few rolling hills) you'll be fine.

"Reminders for the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon:
    - If you are looking to change waves then you will have to email office@dublinmarathon.ie but before 5pm tomorrow (12th) as this is the cut off.

Question. Got a text from the blood donor group looking for a donation this week. Would you donate a pint of blood 2 weeks b4 the dcm?

No, definitely don't. I did before the 5 mile and shouldn't have.

Definitely not, unless they plan on infusing the blood back into you the night before the marathon.
