I have a UPC EPC3925 router and the wireless signal is crap so I have a hefty Netgear WiFi adapter connected into it and I only want to have this active in my house. The problem is that the WiFi will not switch off on the UPC box!

I plug a cable into it and open a browser to 192.168.1.1. In the Quick Setup page there is the 'Wireless Network' option where you can select 'Enable' or 'Disable'. The problem is that if you select 'Disable' and then 'Save Settings', the page refreshed with the setting back to 'Enable'!!

I've tried this a few times and even rebooted the box. Any ideas?

First thing I'd try is another browser. Wouldn't be the first time that I've seen a badly coded webpage on a router that falls over when it sees something other than internet explorer.

That's normal behaviour for the EPC, its the same with mine as I have an AP connected to it.

If you click the Wireless tab next to Quick Setup, then Radio Settings, you will see that Wireless Interface is set to Disable. Also, the UPC network won't be visible to WiFi networks anymore.
