VoIP fax?

I have carried out a few VoIP installations and fairly familiar with the run of things, however i've got a new one....
Fax!

A client is rolling out a VoIP infrastructure in their office but they require a fax line. Blueface have a good deal that client is happy with, €35 per month for 2 lines and a fax line.

But what next? Do I purchase a VoIP adapter for fax, or purchase a VoIP fax machine? (does such a thing exist?). I know Blueface offer incoming fax by email, but client will be regularly sending traditional fax too so they're going to want a machine.

I have e-mailed their support but thought i'd ask here also.

One last, separate thing which someone may be able to help with. Blueface Business 'Small office' says "Perfect for 2 users: 2 Channel - 2 Lines + 2 Geographic numbers" - http://www.blueface.ie/plans/plan.php?id=3

Does this mean that there can only be max 2 users? There will be 4 users in this office (so 4 VoIP phones) so i'm wondering do I need to go for the Business 'Basic' package which mentions '4 channels' - http://www.blueface.ie/plans/plan.php?id=2

Blueface got back to me, it's all 'email2fax' and 'fax2email' - hopefully this won't be an issue for my client (they're not the most technically advanced)

Make sure they have a scanner in case they want to fax a drawing or anything they have received in paper form.

You could try it. Faxes through VoIP tend not to work very well due to codec issues.

As far as I know, Blueface don't limit the channels on accounts - but they could do so at any time.

A channel would be like a physical line, but I've never seen Blueface limit the channels to what is on the plan, usually you should be able to have a channel per phone.

You're probably best asking them

One piece of advice I would give you is not to purchase direct from Blueface as they lock their phones. If you get your own PBX or change provider they won't be compatible if they are got from Blueface.

Thanks for the info. I have decided to go with Goldfish as Blueface confirmed they require 12 month contract and lock their phones
