Were you not around for that? It was awful - even by "Lahvn Lahn awful" standards. Some bogger (who sounded more than a little simple to be honest) was given pretty much an entire show to talk about reviving Tug O War competitions etc. for men who are unemployed (seriously). Joe was fascinated by this. Questions about what type of rope, clothing etc. He also had possibly the strongest country accent ever heard on Lahv Lahn, which didn't help.

Cus shes an idiot, just add it onto the rent if they don't pay, she doesnt seem to understand the basic concept of passing on the bill

Joe is a right cranky c*nt today.

He either didn't get his hole last night, or he missed mass yesterday.

Joe really doesn't understand how the letting process works in Ireland, does he?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,657 ✭✭✭CountyHurler

In favour now that he's retired and it doesnt impinge on his patch, Joe..

Wait a minute - tenant doesn't pay for the electric and skips it - Electric Ireland will look for payment from the owner, won't it?

More than likely both I'd say.

    No. It's on the tennant.

I feel like I'm being lectured by somebody addressing the back of the room.

    No. It's on the tennant.

Really? I'm surprised. I'd kind of assumed they'd simply chase up the easy target, as the owner can't skip.

In fairness, that would be grossly unfair on the landlord and I'd assume legally tough to enforce.

They (EBS etc.) will chase the tennant for payment of the arrears though. But if they leave the country I'd say there's feck all they can do.
