Where are Harps getting all the money to build those facilities?

It looks great when it will be finished.

Agreed on the Harps stadium not being a beauty but it does the job, surely Harps are unlikely to need an expansion any time soon also?

mix of grant money, selling Finn Park to the contractor (agreed at the height of the boom) and not spending much on the current ground in 40 years :v

original contract value was 9million (boom), it was quoted at 6 in the middle of the recession for the full job.
Current Timeline is Main stand 2016, second 2017/8 (to commence on completion of the main stand). Goal end stands... down the line.

To be honest it is needed CSF
Finn Park only has 300 badly placed seats, installed for the premier license in 05 or 08 forget which. Bear in mind it still isnt enough for a premier license we got it because of the plans for FP2. I think its the only thing holding us back there.
Those seats area balls too as they obstruct the view from the singing section. Has made it impossible to get a group together the last few years.
Toilet/general Clubhouse/Shop facilities are all badly lacking too which that nice big clubhouse and under the stands will fix. It would cost a fortune to bring the ground up to scratch given the site limitations. Got to have some ambition for a premier license, Athlone turned it around. Plus with the way the league has been going 1 division may be a necessity anyway.

Our crowds arent great but budgets are still a shoestring since 08 and performances have reflected that. Was inevitable they would slip away given our extended period in the doldrums. To substantially increase the budget and get ourselves in the mix would also risk the club.
Pre08 we generally competed for promotion every season and probably had double on average what we do now. Fickle crowds as always in the LOI. When we were in the premier 05 & 08 we were still able to average over 1000 a game... given we were bet out the door in 05 its not bad!

So between the grant and the sale of the old ground the new ground will be pretty much free?

We were looking to enter our over age under 19s as a 1st div team.

Fenlon mentions he is weighing up the value and expense of the B team.

Us and Cork are interested in B teams.

We need to get out of this division, fast.

Fenlon worried that the costs of running a B team will not allow him to buy a league title?

Because Pats and Dundalk pay their squads buttons?

if there's no RoversB and no Bray then shirley it will be time to have a single division.

5 teams in First Div playing each other 8 times.

    Problem solved!!!

I really hope not. If Dundalk do go on and win the league don't want any asterix next to it.

If that was the case wouldn't the FAI have a case to answer from UEFA as its a requirement to have promotion and relegation?

I guess Bray live to fight another day?

We def dont pay them as much as Rovers do!

Il leave Towells wages out because they are paid by Fyffess, its bananas when you think about it

at this rate a boardsies XI will have a chance of making the first division. We'd probably get better attendances than most teams too.

    Far from it.

I thought yesterday was their day? What is the actual story with them? Are they skint?

Just had a look on foot.ie and all Bray Wanderers discussion is banned!!!

Why do we all go on with this Bull, not getting at you dfc10, but how the hell does anybody know what other clubs do or do not pay their players, and why should it be anybodies business.
