You will need a registered installer to do this for you as it can only be done through smartlink 700.

    Hi Guys,

    I have a HKC SW1070 that I installed myself 2 years ago.
Lately I am getting the following errors "Dev ComFlt" for all the six ID Contact/Inertia Sensors connect in parallel to the same Zone.

Can anyone give me guidance to debug this fault.

    Thanks
    Cathal

The system has stopped communicating with the sensors.
If all 6 devices are on the same cable and are not communicating it will be the cable from the control panel to the first device which is causing the problem. If you open the devices is the red LED on?

All zones open would indicate to me that the devices are not fitted correctly. Check sensor head arrows are pointing up. Also if magnets are used make sure these line up to close the reed on the device.

Can anyone tell me if the keypads form a HKC 8-12 system will work on the new 10-70 panel ?
Have it installed and working fine with the one keypad that came in the kit, but getting comms error on the the second keypad upstairs.
Just upgraded to facilitate gsm instead of text modem.
    Thanks......

Hi richiemac, I have a HKC 8-12 system too and hate loosing the text facility but I only fitted it four years ago and am reluctant to fork out again on new new panel and three keypads (will I need to replace external siren too?) but out of curiosity what has it cost you for parts to do this change ball park ? As I installed the alarm I'm hoping I could do the swap if of course I could afford the parts.

The cheaper options would be an IP panel like Siemens or Risco. There would be no running costs or GSM charges. Also as you have the apps you might not need the extra keypads.

Thanks KoolKid, I would like to change to an IP panel but my current HKC is very reliable and plus the better half won't see the reason to change when it is working! Maybe you could give me some advice whats best. I only keep the house phone for the alarm and would love to get rid of that bill as its rarely used. Do I need a good internet connection to get the best out of an IP panel, I currently get phone & BB through sky as Im a long way from exchange the max speed I get is 0.9mb (no typo there !) So in getting rid of phone line I would loose my very poor BB but 3G or 4G mobile BB would give me greater speed there. I didn't do this yet as I was keeping phone line for alarm didn't make sense to pay for both. If I was to get an IP panel would it be compatible with a 4G mobile router ? Or would I just fork out for GSM plug on for my current panel ? Very confused and you to after reading this post :-)

I changed only the panel & keypads.
The panel ( including 1 keypad) with the GSM-Q plug in was € 300 cash.
Single keypad for upstairs was € 70.
Working fine so far....i'll sort out the upstairs pad tonight.
    Regards...

A Siemens IP panel with keypad would be a little cheaper than that.

In engineer got Zones> Zone Options and enable EXCL PGA or PGB as required for each zone you want to omit in PGA or PGB.

I am PMing you the manual just in case you don't have it.
