    You obviously don't remember Carlcon?!

Jayzus... what ever happened to him? He loved a rant! He was a decent player too!

Just heard on sky sports that Sturridge was injured while training with England. No idea if it's serious or not, could just be a knock that leaves him out of the international games.

Mario Balotelli was reportedly subbed off in a closed friendly earlier after kicking a Wolves player in the head

    PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE

Not nailed on at all. Lennon and Townsend will play games.

Quick question, I have my wild card activated and am wondering which is a better combination, Aguero + Larsson or Adebayor + Silva? A few opinions appreciated... Aguero always stings me when I bring him in, by getting injured... Equally when I ignore him he bangs them in..

Townsend is distinctly down the pecking order I think, Spurs heavily rumoured to be looking to offload him in the TW

What other 5.5 mids are available? Or even 5.0 ones? Larsson strikes me as a bit of a bandwagon player.

A goal and assist so far this season but poor stats the last couple of years. Sunderland have scored 2 goals in three games as well so not exactly what you'd call free scoring.

It'd also help if you posted the rest of your team. Nathan Dyer is value at 5.5 but not so much if you own Sigurdsson.

Zaha is the only other option worth considering and he's still a risky punt. If you can find 0.5 more I'd go with Henderson who is much improved this year.

Arfield should pick up a few points now that Burnley fixtures have improved. Rodwell not a bad option either.

It all depends what's your plan with this player and what you really expect from him.

Is he going to be your 8th attacking option, bench fodder type? Will you rotate him with one of your forward or other MF? How many pts you expect from him?

A couple of years ago Larsson had a brilliant run for a couple of months.
Dyer proved to be worth it for a while too in tha past seasons. But can't remember if he got injured or lost his place but never had a full season.
    McGeady, N'Zogbia could be interesting...
Then Routledge, Noble, Downing, Richardson, Huddlestone have proven they could be good for a goal or assist from time to time and are generally guaranteed starter. Are they that much better than the regular starters of the £4.5m bracket? Nothing's less sure... The other question is what you could do to your team with this saved £1.0m...

What about Routledge..scores decent for 5.5 . Also for 5.5(now 5.6) Larsson is not bad value, why are you expecting a free scoring player for that price? Matic looks decent for 5.5 also.

Thoughts on Diego Costa's injury lads? I'm wary to take him out since the last time he was "injured"

I think we are all in danger of running down the 'He wasn't injured last time, he won't be this time' route and getting just as burnt as the last time.

Hold tight, and wait for news and don't do anything in the meantime.

And there's plenty of time to hold tight (and find out more) too.
Don't think any of the probable replacements are going to rise and he ain't falling.

£20 to finish top 150K, no thanks! Although still a dubious claim. The mini leagues would want to be crap to be able to win them with a rank of £150K

There is a star beside that claim. Didn't see any small print anywhere though.

Thanks for the feedback all, it seems that Aguero + 4.5/5/5.5 midfielder is the way to go, judging by people's comments, this is my current full team, with wildcard activated:

    De Gea
    Debuchy Dier Clyne
    Sterling Larsson Ramsey Sig Fábregas
    Diego Costa Aguero

    Subs: Myhill Naismith Wisdom Hutton

By changing Larsson to a playing 4.5mil option, I could use the .6 to improve Debuchy to aspil as Chelsea are likely to keep more clean sheets than Arsenal, I could also upgrade Myhill to a 4.5 mil keeper like Krul who actually plays, but my intention would be play De Gea all the time, but if he was ever rested it'd nice to have a playing 2nd keeper. I have my eye on Welbeck also, but I am cautious, as I'm not sure if he will go straight into the first team or not...

Thanks all for the discussion so far

I think he will. Sanogo doesn't look up to much.

    De gea in goal.

Ben Davies (sure he'll start soon) chambers, Hutton, dummett, van aonholt. Pretty poor I know! Have 0.6 in the bank to upgrade.
