    I get the lyrics to some songs completely wrong. For years I thought that Bob Marlays "Jammin'" was "Johnny, Johnny, I hope you like Johnny too"!

    Just heard 'The Smiths' with the lyrics in one of their songs (?) "Hang the DJ, hang the DJ" but today I guess it could be "Im the DJ, Im the DJ". Anyone else out there as bad as me....??!!

    Summer after High School when we first met, made out in your Mustang to Radio Head.

    But I had always thought they were:

    You stalked the local High School that's how we first met, pulled me into your Mustang and forced me to give you head.

    The words don't sound remotely similar and there are twice too many words for it to scan. :confused:

    I always thought the words to Florence and the Machine's Howl were "If you could only see the bitch you made of me". She really says "beast".

    It's actually supposed to be "No Woman Nuh Cry"
    "Nuh" being a Jamaican phrase meaning "Don't"
    So the song is telling a woman that living a life in the ghetto will get better
    "No Woman Don't Cry"...

    Oh, and "Feed the World" I always thought the said "GINO WOOOOOOOAH, let them know it's Christmastime" until that shoite cover came out of it again years ago and they said it clearer.

    I used to think Bob Marley was singing "my fear is my only courage" in No Woman No Cry. I was disappointed to learn it was "my feet is my only carriage". I liked my line better.

    I am terrible for this:

    I always thought the chorus to Smashing Pumpkin's 'Bullet with Butterfly Wings' was, instead of "Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage,

    I thought it was: Despite all my rage, I am still just ready to cage (thought it was a metaphor for falling to pieces emotionally :o)

    I posted this on facebook in a comment once to a friend and she had to correct me once and for all. :o
