Hey, so coincidentally I happen to be home for this. Been living in Seattle for the past 3 years, and so naturally have caught the American Football bug. I went on ticketmaster's site and got excited when I saw there were e20 tickets still available (in section 714). However, ticketmaster won't seem to let me buy them :( .

Is this just a glitch, or is there some special way I'm supposed to buy these? Would love to go, but I don't think I'll convince my Irish friends to spend e40/50 on tickets.

I'm sure there'll be a ticketmaster van outside Croker or down near Quinns tomorrow where you could get tickets easily enough.

They were still tweeting about those family packs this morning anyway.

Wonder will either school be selling anything like this, slightly nicer than what we've seen to date:

714 seems to be a new section on sale, or at least at a new price. I bought tickets in 713 yesterday and 714 wasn't even showing up for the 20 euro tickets. Probably a glitch.

Haven't clicked the link but when I saw the Carroll's website alarm bells were ringing.

EDIT: Worst fears confirmed. I wouldn't line a dog's bed with that gear.

Is it wrong I kinda like the jersey? :/

The jersey isn't bad. Shame they didn't go for an orange stripe instead of blue.

Was in town earlier. Nice little buzz building

I am sorry if this is elsewhere on the thread but will a ticket van/ shop on Dorset street be open to purchase tickets tomorrow?

    Cheers

Sorry to butt in with another question, but we've tickets for Hogan- last time I checked I was sure it said Hogan was Penn State. Lat place I cgecked just now said Hogan was Knights territory- can anyone clarify? I don't want to turn up in a tee with a Lion on it if we should be going for Knights!!! Not that I really care who I shout for but it'd be good to try fit in colours wise!

Absolutely horrible stuff, I may bring some rugby gear to see if any fans from either side fancy a swap, traditional in rugby circles.

Penn State's players tried some Gaelic games during practice

They won't be "going pro" in Gaelic football or hurling!

Look for Americans to swap with. They would probably be the most amicable - I know I would. They can always replace whatever they trade easily enough when back in the states.

Really looking forward to this. Would be a casual enough fan of football but know all the rules and whatnot so should be a great day.

I'm sat in the upper tier of the Hogan, section 733, row C. Anyone with any knowledge of Croker know if these are decent seats. They look ok on the seating chart.

Yeah pretty decent not too far from centre and third row from front, although to be fair not many bad views in Croker

Just looked at my tickets, is it seriously 1.30 pm kick-off??

Madness! i was hoping to go early and have a couple drinks and soak up some atmosphere.

Sure think of the fans back in America where it's a 8:30am start.

Then what's the reasoning behind the kick-off time them? Who benefits from an early start?!

    I'm only upset because I'm a lazy b*sterd and I won't get a proper sleep in tomorrow!

It's the only game in its timeslot, which means it gets exclusive coverage on US telly. If they'd gone later in the day, they'd be against the games starting in the afternoon in the US (Games are at 12, 3:30 & 7, for the most part).

Guarantees as many eyes as possible on this game, which is good for Ireland and good for both teams.
