Im looking for help with courses, I'd love to go about working in a lab in a hospital, or something along the lines of this. What courses would I be looking at to do this kind of work? I do all higher level subjects with the exception of maths, and I'm studying the three sciences. Ideally id like the college to be in cork.

Pharmacy would be one way I guess . Lots of pharmacists work in a hospital environment not sure if in a lab though .
. However you could do drug research in a lab.

    Lab based sciences also:
Biochemistry (through research ), biomedical science (joint with cit).
Read the biomed course description . It would be the right course for what you want to study .

Trinity offers medicinal chemistry . I know nothing about it tbh .

Obviously doctors and dentists can also enter into research in hospitals perhaps with the opportunity to work in labs depending on your research area .

Just judging from what you said I would highly advise researching biomedical science :)

Biomedical Science in DIT is a level 8 honours degree programme that equips you to work in a laboratory on completion of the four years. It along with Galway and Cork are the only biomedical science degrees that enable you to work in a lab on completion, any others you may have to do masters or add on degrees to be able to get registered with the council in Ireland.

It depends what you yourself would like to do in a hospital, would you like to be in the pharmacy side of it? Or the biomedical side studying blood samples or such? I'll be starting biomedical science myself in UCC/CIT in a few weeks so if you've any questions feel free to ask! You can also always choose to go into the research side, there's plenty of options! :)
