What's the quickest way to get from Dorset street to UCD, using the bus Luas etc. I'm starting there soon.

46A cuts through Dorset Street and goes out past UCD.

The 46A goes by the Gala shop on the Dorset Street and heads down O'Connell Street and it takes about 40 minutes in rush hour. There's also an express bus (66x) that stops at O'Connell St and it gets to UCD in no time at all however I don't think it comes very often.

Alternatively you could cycle into UCD which takes about half an hour - obviously dependent on how well you cycle!

The 145 leaves from Heuston station and goes along the quays, crossing the bridge onto D'Olier street, it doesn't go to Mountjoy Square. The route is on the Dublin Bus site.

Depending on the side of UCD that you want to get to, you could also get the 11. It stops just outside the Clonskeagh entrance, while most other buses stop on the other side, the N11 entrance.
