    Has anyone here ever caught a Killarney shad? I heard they are pretty rare!

    Alosa fallax killarnensis. Never caught one but then again why would I? They are small and critically endangered. Why do you ask?

    Th ouutlook for them is optimistic looking at that link. I've never seen one but had heard of them; they do crop up from time to time in newspaper wildlife articles and the like.
