Have you no script running or something?

Sometimes when I open the page too quickly when the browser opens up initially, I get basic hypertext, no CSS or scripting. I think it's a bug in the update I got recently, never happened before. It's quite funny to see it happen on youtube or facebook, imagine how pissed people would get if all they got was hypertext :D

It's only on chrome, doesn't happen on mozilla

Chrome or Chromium? Chromium can be buggy, but you'd expect that. If it happens in Chrome I might get one of the lads to have a look.

Sorry chromium, force of habit :o I use ubuntu with kali built in, if i wasn't buggy I'd be concerned! :D

Another annoying bug I have is I can't screenshot with the menu open, despite trying the delayed screenshot option. Not really important but just the little things are often much more complex to solve than big stuff

Needed some parts for the golf. You would think that 2 vw dealers would have roughly the same prices for the same parts definitely not the case though. I have known from getting parts in the past that vw kilkenny have always been strong with there parts prices never realised how bad they were until today.

Ring vw kk give them reg get price of 72 for front brake pads and 22 for pollen filter inc vat. He repeated it back to me so that was definitely the price for the parts. I had a feeling that was expensive but wasn't sure how much brake pads really cost. So as I was in carlow anyway today I rang vw carlow kind of expecting the same prices maybe 5 euro cheaper. At this point I was just going to get the stuff on micksgarage but said I had nothing to loose by giving them a ring.

Same procedure give them my reg ask for a price on the two parts guy says a we have both them in stock and I can do them both for 45 inc vat  I couldn't believe it.

Headed straight over there still expecting there to be some catch but there wasn't. Great prices got oil filter, pollen filter, front brake pads and 5l of quantum 5w30 oil that meets all the vw specs and even some BMW ones, they threw in a sump washer and nut. All that cost me less then the two parts would have cost in vw kk. Just shows it's worth shopping around. Really sound lads at parts over in vw carlow. The receipt was saying 30% discount of parts which I've never seen on any invoice from a dealer normally 10-15%.

    whats that in MPG ?

i was just testing there , did a 11.2 mile trip, reset computers and it says i got 78.5mpg on my last trip ! (super careful ninja driving !)

That's 60 mpg at around 380 mile. Which is seriously good.

How accurate are these Trip computers on cars?

I had a 05 Focus 1.6 tdci Zetec and on my way down to Cork, on the M8 I reset the trip MPG computer and it was then giving me a reading of 99.9 MPG for atleast 2 to 3 miles.

Then gradually decreased down to 72 MPG then to 55 MPG when I hit West Cork :-(

Sure one of the lads on here was getting infinity mpg in a yaris :pac:

I guess it all depends on the car, mine is fairly accurate and its 14 years old

The more miles you do, the more accurate they get;)

60-62 mpg is quite good so i guess. but i want to stress i've being taking it very easy on the car that i expected more tbh.

e.g sticking around 60mph on motorways and taking it very handy on any road

just revising my route i did out of london, 50pound diesel (standerd BP) to holyhead, then 3 days around dublin,

(London - holyhead 290 miles, then dublin whatever i did for 3 days including one culchie trip)

so i guess its alright , maybe i've just being cautious of the needle lately.

The Yaris has inherited traits from the Liam Burn Carina. Frugal yokes those
