    Should I use a cv cover or envelope for my cv or does it make any difference?
    Also should i use a cover letter

    If going for an interview and required to bring one, I've brought it in a plastic clip folder.

    If applying for a job I've placed it in an envelope with a cover letter. Mark the envelope to the attn of recruitment officer / manager (whichever is applicable).

    When applying online, if I can apply with a cover letter I will.
