Hey, if anyone else is picking up one of these would you drop me a PM. I'd like to get one but no CC card.

    Thanks.

So will one of these work with any game ? (disregarding vibration and dual sticks of course).

Also will the standard non-dual shock original PS1 pads work ? I assume they will ?

Yeah, I went to the link and the line about 'working with more games that similar products' was what raised the question in the first place.

I would take it that it would function as a normal 8 button pad and that the drivers would take care of putting dual stick analogue controls in certain games. If thats the case then it's a good product. Would like to see how you get on with it.

Buy hey for about what 10 Euro including delivery, it's not exactley a risk either.

I remember reading a guide on the HW modding forum about this.
All that neads to be done is cut the plug off the controller and rewire a usb plug on there.
This would make the controler useless for your xbox obviously.

There's a very good mod here

There's a link to the software needed on that site too.
This is probably the site hacktavist was talking about. ;)

You can get a Playstation=>USB converter in Peats (Dublin) for €20 ... I've had one for a few months, no complaints.
It's got a driver CD included...
You can use the dual-shock sticks, all the buttons, and the force-feedback works with most apps (although it's not great).

I`d be very wary of some of them converters.

The best one i`ve found is : http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/catalog/product_reviews_info.php?products_id=239&reviews_id=19

Also has a n64 pad port, handy for playing emulators.

Anyway all in all, E25 or so, 2 day delivery

Using the ps2 controllers analogue stix are excellent for racing games
