That's what I'm told. Is it overhyped because it's Irish?
Perhaps we're spoiled with the big American productions.

    By how much?
Have I insulted someone by criticising what seems so far to be a distinctly average show?

I thought seasons 3 and 4 were best. The first 2 meandered a bit.

Season refers to the number of episodes made in that particular production block/year. Series is the entire show as a whole. It's just a way of differentiating, but please, feel free to stay angry over something so insignificant

When you're watching the last ep of season 4 just count how many times he gets in and out of his car. It's classic time wasting by a production team that had no earthly fecking idea where they wanted to go for an ending.

Season 4 was the biggest pile of **** I've seen in a long time. Cops vs Robbers with the constant air of an unreal twist on the horizon. Only for it to be one of the most bland and stupid endings on Irish tv.

Considering it costs on average 600k an episode I think it might be time to pull the plug on something that could have been so much more..

    Ah the "you're angry card"

Nope. It annoys me yes, maybe file under the trivial thread elsewhere.

It's always been series here, season is an affectation.

I just watched the first 3 seasons and I think it's very good. Season 3 is probably the best, followed by season 2. The only thing that ruined it for me is how badly cast Darren is, I think he's a good character but completely the wrong type of actor playing him. Nidge is an excellent character and very well acted.
