I was recommended to put this on my teeth. It doesn't seem intelligent to put a cream on my teeth when I either spit it out or swallow it afterwards. Its very expensive stuff and wonder is it worth it at all? What does it actually do?

That product contains casein phosphopeptides and amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) which is proven to help microscopic remineralisation of teeth in decay suceptable individuals. It works topically like flouride. It is expensive but can help in certain situations.

Thanks. I take it you are saying that it is a high dose of calcium that I am spitting out/swallowing. I am already taking calcium tablets, and my last blood tests showed normal levels. Wouldn't the tablets be enough?

No thats not what it does, it creates an environment around the teeth where calcium and phosphate can be absorbed by your teeth. It has a property called substantivity which you can look up, which means your not just spitting it down the sink.
