I'm predicting the following team to start on Saturday.

    DDG
    ----Jones----Smalling----Blackett----
    Young
    James
    Herrera----Fletcher

    Mata

    Rooney
    Chico

The players in Bold are the weak points that Swansea will almost certainly target. It looks really weak down our left side. Young could also be gotten at if they double up on him. So I do think we'll concede, so our lads up top need to hit the ground running.

Edit: if you told me 3 months ago that we'd be starting the season with that line-up, I'd have been might p*ssed off.

Welbeck and Evans should be back for the game.

I wouldn't count on Evans. We could do with Danny's pace for sure.

Bad news obviously but looking at the fixtures, I think we'll just about manage without him.... Hopefully.

    is Daley Blind signed yet???
    get it bloody done now..

shipping out 3 left backs in 6 months and brining in 1 was always a crazy thing to do

in the unlikely event that we were to sign Rojo, Blind and Di Maria, how would people view that as a summer?

1 - excellent summer, guaranteed title challengers and £140m very well spent.
2- good summer, but needing alot more investment next year - will do for now.
3 - underwhelming considering what could have been bought with that money and still lacking at least 2 top class central players

Between 1&2 for me. We'd have addressed some problems rather than ignored them but would still be WIP. We would still need a top class CB and CM but at least we'd have improved vastly on whats there.

PS Does this font / theme work???

So of the five senior defenders on the books, 3 are injured.

But sure why would we need to have signed some defenders by now, sep 1st is plenty of time cause the first 6 games are easy, right?

Another fine mess the club has only itself to blame for. An utter shambles.

Time to get that Rojo deal done so, and tell him to get back to bloody training so he's fit enough to play LWB for a month.

Anyone thinking that he's been fast tracked because Shaw got injured in the last few days?

United really is a joke of a club. Season not started for us and already we have allowed ourselves to fall into an absolute crisis through horrid squad management.

    1 right back, injured.
    1left back, injured.
    3 centre backs, 1 injured.
2 reliable centre mids, 1 injured.

    Clap, clap, clap.

You'd have to wonder why some of the posters here don't just give up supporting United. It's an endless stream of negativity, pessimism and good old fashioned moaning.

    Benatia's agent.
"Benatia to Chelsea. It’s not true," he told Tuttomercatoweb.com. "As far as we are concerned they are just rumours."

Sissoko was then asked whether this means Benatia will be staying with the Giallorossi and gave a positive response.

"I would say yes," he answered.

Have to agree. It doesn't make for good reading at all. Welbeck, Evans, Rafeal, Valencia, Shaw, RVP, Carrick unavailable for the start of the season.

The annoying thing is when you have to field a team with a lot of youngsters, it encourages the opposition to really go after you. The first few games were meant to be the easy ones. Each of them will probably turn out to be right scraps.
An injury to any of Rooney, Herrera, Smalling or Jones now and we are actually in trouble. :(

We're at the beginning of a new season, and the squad is starting to look decimated. I think it's fair if posters want to discuss this very obvious problem that we have with injuries in areas that we are painfully short in.

these posts like yours are as regular as the "moaning" though it took 5.30 before they surfaced today.

there is not one legitimate poster on here who is not 100% behind the team and wants whats in the best interests of the club.

not being happy with our transfer appraoch, our board, our owners or anything else off the pitch should mean f*ck all to posters like yourself, unless you are related to the Glazers, Woodward or the tea lady.

if people dont agree that some people just dont think the club is being run right in the last few years, which alot of people believe is the case then posting on an internet forum shouldnt be in your list of regular items.

Right, but I'm actually referring to the posters who put a negative spin on absolutely everything. This injury crisis is just the latest thing to have a moan about.

What really happened was Ed slapped him across the head and told him to cop on but "Ed just bitch slapped me and made me cry" wasn't going to look so good on Twitter
