You can comment all you want. But I have no problem with explaining to others about a culture the commentator knows nothing about. There is nothing insidious or evil about kissing your tank, it's quite within normal, civilized behaviour. And, as far as I know, there is nothing to indicate that either tank or crewman did anything insidious or evil. Ergo, commentator is being emotionally misleading and I'm calling him on it. I don't go around judging Palestinian traditions, for example, but if I do and get something wrong, I would expect to be called on it.

Yep. A legitimate act of war, well within the rules of the time. What's the issue? You have a problem with the bombing, talk to a philosopher, or a politician of the time. No reason to take it out on the crew or machine.
the bombing was a genocide, but one which the effects of live on to this day

Well, what can you say - Zionism is evil. I see no difference between it and the Nazi's ideals...

you could say that... you could also say that if Israel keep going the way they are going, Palestine will be the graveyard of the Israelis.

Of course they do - you make any criticism against them and they'll label you anti-Semitic.

They've always played their holocaust card for whatever reason, because they believe the world owes them a debt.
isn't it true that germany have to pay this terrorist state money, even though the state did not exist when hitler commited his crimes? a ****ing scam if you ask me

I'll have no sympathies towards Israel, not one bit, should they suffer a terrible backlash from other Islamic nations.

It's a wonder you even used the term 'crimes'.

For a country so quick to invoke the holocaust whenever they want something or simply feel like it they are disgustingly determined to do the same to a whole other group of people

    Done and done.

$1.5 billion spread over 14 years as compensation for the costs of repatriating holocaust survivors.

Overwhelmingly approved by the German parliament.

well you see, unlike you, i don't decide what is a crime on the basis of whether i like or dislike the country or its people, or the basis of skin colour, or religion

I can only assume you decide based on the actions of the alleged perpetrators - in this case, the killing of almost 2000 people, the majority being civilians.

What's over?..Israel and her IDF apologists would like nothing more than for people to forget and "move on", I'd say. but that isn't going to happen this time Israel has crossed the line and if responsible for war crimes and breaches of international law, need to and must be held accountable. this is only just beginning.

I just watched the rte news, i think im going to have to question rte,

for some reason throughout the last few weeks Mark Regev is allowed to speak on TV without being questioned in anyway.

We will be watching hamas who keep violating ceasefires...

you have been excusing the slaughter of innocent palestinians, so i'd take a look at yourself before making out others condone the killing of civilians

From a Government standpoint... but I assume you've got no problems of Israel already doing just that in multitudes.

He thinks "it's over" says it all really. Israel has crossed the line this time though that appears to not have registered..yet. the penny will drop soon enough.

Yes, it is the beginning, of peace negotiations. Take that as the positive that it is. Do you honestly believe people will be talking about this in a few months time?

Nope, I condemn the slaughter/murder of PEOPLE. I don't care which plot of dirt they are from

Yes, yes I do. because if Israel is not held accountable this time around the very fabric of what we deem to be international rules and ways will be called into question and in my opinion null and void if Israel is not brought to heel. their Pariah government consistently stick two fingers up to the world and operate by their own "rules". they must be held to account this time.

There will NEVER be a lasting peace between Palestine and Israel - Israel has made it abundantly clear of wanting the entire area under their control. Even if it means the pseudo assimilation of Palestine people before kicking them out, and telling the world they gave them the option to stay but they left. Such as they have for the past 60 years...

Who is going to hold them accountable though? You know as well as I do the way this world works. The best we can hope for, is a continued ceasefire and continued negotiations, in the hope that some workable and sustainable truce can be achieved.

Inside the talks' failure: US officials open up

In an exclusive interview, American officials directly connected to the talks reveal the real reason for the collapse of the negotiations.
    Nahum Barnea

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4515821,00.html

Norman Finkelstein talks about this interview which can be found here

    http://www.orbooks.com/catalog/old-wine-broken-bottle/

He,however, states that Kerry asked the Israeli side what their bottom line was and, having received a response ,presented it to the Palestinians who accepted it.However the Israeli's then backtracked leaving the Americans furious. I can't find any direct reference to this in the article.

Please do not be fooled by this talk of Peace Negotiations.Israel has no interest in peace and this rhetoric about being concerned about all human life but failing to condemn outright the obvious slaughter is only a tactic being
employed by apologists for genocide. There is no sincerity behind their words. They all use the same formula in their discussions.
