Lidl have their own brand of mini magnum ice creams at half price per box of 12 this weekend. €1.24 per box.
Ideal for kids (and grown ups).I picked up 4 boxes earlier to stock up as the kids are constantly looking for ice creams in this warm weather.

As Bono so often says when asked about the lidl magnum-a-likes , "they're even better than the real thing".

Just finished one now and the dog kept looking at me so he got the last of it. It was lovely

All of lidl's ice-cream / ice-lolly products are the equal of their premium alternate.
And much superior to the Walls/HB stuff.

    Lidl cappuccino 'vienettas'.... €1.25.
Very good quality anyway, so the price is a bonus.

Chocolate is poisonous for dogs - maybe get him a Solero instead?

Not the same for all dogs ,my terrier cross breed eat a full box of roses( wrappers included) that I got as a gift at christmas  and showed no ill effects after, so most dogs should be ok after eating chocolate .

Then you were lucky, dogs and theobromine (in dark Cocoa) do not mix

That's because roses and the like don't have enough cocoa in them to be harmful to dogs. Dark chocolate and the like such as 70% are very poisonous to dogs

"get the facts": Number of dogs killed by eating houseold chocolate prior to some vets in the states running a hysterical racket on it: zilch. Number of vets doing very expensive "emergency" stomach pumping on dogs who are showing no ill effects whatsoever of consuming chocolate based on creating a state of panic and fear among pet owners: $$$$$$$$$$$$$

A dog would probably be grand with the standard Cadbury vegolate. I'd be worried about real chocolate though.
