    This!!
That symbol on cosmetic products is how long the item is good for after being opened!
I've spot the symbol many times before but it never ever clicked until a few minutes ago! Mind blown.

You got them mixed up and some of the notes wrong :P

    Twin-kle, twin-kle, lit-tle star
    DDAABBA - 7 notes

Baa-baa, black sheep, have you any wool?
    DDAABCDBA - 9 notes

The tunes are similar but different. I even checked on the keyboard :o

That bird on the Windows 7 logon screen - it's not some random bird drawn badly, it's a well drawn humming bird!

Still trying to figure out those signs above doorways showing a man running towards a fridge. There's never ever a fridge out there.

You know the saying "faith, hope, and charity"? Well I just realised the "charity" bit means you should accept good things that happen to YOU, not you giving all your stuff to other people!

I would've said they're the same. Baa-baa black sheep should be DDAABBBBA, not DDAABCDBA. So the air would be identical.

There is a higher inflection on "have you any wool" that you don't get with "how I wonder what you are", so they're not the same tune.

That's like saying all those songs which have the same three chord progession are the same tune. We're talking about a simple half-octave progression of notes which scarcely qualifies as a tune at all; any variation at all on that is significant.

It's a variation on "ah, vous dirai-je" which in itself was had a theme (folk song) and variations done by Mozart, some of which ended up nearly beyond recognition.
It's the same base tune, and one has an ornament on it.
Many concertos/symphonies/whathaveyou will take a "simple progression of notes" and do incredible things with them throughout the piece, inversion, ornamentation, etc. Still the same theme.

And yes, a lot of songs ARE based on pachelbel

Ya know how most people are aware of really significant things that fall on their birthday? Like "I share my birthday with Bono" and all that?

World war 1. It took me 26 years to realize that I share my birthday with the start of world war 1. In all the history classes I sat through (even for leaving cert) I didn't once notice the date.
