Clean bandit are absolutely brilliant. They have so so many great songs, they'd be perfect as the late night dance act I think..that song is probably one of their worst

Moderat in that slot could in all fairness to them probably put the crowd to sleep
Theres absolutely no chance Clean Bandit will get that slot, and they certainly would not be perfect for that slot. You don't put one hit wonders on at that time, there's no argument to be made for them ahead of Chic, it would be abysmal planning.

Here is Mr.Music again, still fighting the machine?

All that ''manufactured pop'' too much for you? How's the unrealeased Pink Floyd albums that cost you 100 quid doing? I heard Syd Barrett is some man with a kazoo

It'd be cool if they had this really chill area during the day with like just a big screen and they blared out classics like Dark Side of the Moon or Zeppelin II and stuff like that.

    /stoner thought

One hit wonders are those that have had a hit then gone away. These are very much still here and getting bigger.

Let's be honest, Clean Bandit have about as much chance as I do of getting on the main stage in a premium spot. 6-7ish main stage slot or sub-headlining Cosby/EA

A one hit wonder thus far but I'm sure they'll get better. Not my cup of tea by any means but nothing against them.

They were playin nightclubs for students last year I highly doubt they will get that slot.

I doubt they'll get it either but in the same vein, Dimitri Vegas and like mike headlined tomorrowland the same year they were playing in nightclubs for students.

    Fair point!

That kind of music is very different. They remix loads of well known tracks and had a serious lights show to go with it. Also not to mention (and do forgive the stereotype) most people at Tomorrowland are so munted that anything with a great visuals and decent beats will see them having the time of their lives.

They are very much one hit wonders in fairness, sure they only played the UCD ball a few months ago and didn't even headline that. Definitely won't get that slot on the main stage.

If it was a late night electronic slot then yeah fair enough but not Moderat, they're just incredibly boring IMO. Minimal is awful stuff.

    Moderat don't make minimal.

Not minimal itself exactly but it's pretty much the same thing for all intents and purposes. Boring. May be slightly technically different.

I'm not saying I think they should get it nor do I think they will. I'd just bet they'd do a great job with it.

Yeah well that's fair enough. Still I think it goes a lot to say you can't judge what venues people are playing to what they can play next.

Jesus, did I offend your delicate sensitivities by pointing out the acts you're looking forward to are also popular with 5 year olds and grannies?
Did your boyfriend propose to you during a Paolo Nutini concert or something?
Make a decent, relevant contribution or **** off.

Clean Bandit are a one hit wonder - they have one hit. It's not rocket science. You have to laugh at these people so obsessed with the "saturday night dance slot" that they're putting acts completely out of their depth just to keep the trend going.
I've no problem with Clean Bandit, but pretending they're headliners is just ridiculous.

cos as we all know, it's only cool to enjoy music if it's popular within a specific range.

Did Body&Soul release their line-up, can't find it??

You think Clean Bandit can headline the festival, aren't a one hit wonder despite having one hit thus far, and Moderat make minimal music, and you're calling me clueless?

except for the fact that their single after "Rather Be" was 20 places lower in the chart, and the one after that didn't even chart at all....

Well perhaps that wouldn't be an insurmountable obstacle if the music wasn't incredibly dull...

I think they'd do well. Aren't a one hit wonder by the definition that they're still here and making music. One hit wonders have gone away.

Moderat would be more of a tent headliner, if they get announced its more likely that they will either play the LBT or the Cosby Tent, they are definitely not suited to an open air stage. I can't get Daniel Avery out of my head at the moment, I notice that he is down for the Red Bull Academy stage at Bestival, so hopefully its the same people who run the Red Bull stage for Rave in the Woods and that we might see Avery here too, I'm quite surprised that he didn't do Body & Soul festival and life festival, nor Longitude or Forbidden Fruit for that matter. So who do you want for the more extreme electronic stages, LBT and the Red Bull stages.

In this Boiler Room set he does a great remix of We are the Robots by Kraftwerk, worth checking out.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

    yeah you're clueless.
Do you live in a parallel universe or something? Bizarro world maybe?
Do you also think the world is flat?
Clean Bandit have nowhere near a big enough stage show to handle a headline slot. One hit wonders continue to release music without replicating their original success, that's the way it's going for Clean Bandit. They'll be remembered for Rather Be, nothing else.

    cute.

Well seeing as their original 'success' was Mozarts house I'm gonna say they're still getting better. Yeah. We'll see :)

nah .. they are definitely looking like a one hit wonder .. I guess that single just caught the public's imagination at the right time. For me its all pretty uninspiring stuff. It just does't work for me, all a bit too clean and slick and all that pseudo classical stuff, no thanks .. YMMV. I love classical music by the way.

Moderat make minimal??? .. wow .. i must have my understanding of what minimal is completely wrong.

I live in a world where Clean Bandit don't exist.

Lol, you know you're dealing with someone who is clueless when they refer to Moderat as minimal.
