If Van Gaal gets someone to accompany him during his press statements like in the video below I'll start supporting United.

When I see Giggs, I think United hero.

When I see Beckham, I think hype. Arguably one of the most overrated players in the history of the game. Also, his decision to go to the US while still in his prime was embarrassing from a football perspective.

I see Beckham I think United hero, without doubt

Unreal how much he still loves the club

I always respected Beckham. Players who talk about him say how he treated everyone in the club from the kitman to the manager the exact same way. Also hearing stories of him helping clean the jerseys and changing rooms when he first joined shows how much he valued his move to United.

He gave us 11 years of service and 6 Premierships in that time. Although I would have liked to see him stay with us longer whats done is done. He has been a huge reason aswell for the advancement of the MLS, not too long before he joined LA there was talk of the MLS disbanding.

I know we are all entitled to our own opinions of him but I will always regard Beckham as a United Hero.

Beckham was 32 when he joined Galaxy. Hardly "prime"
I can't recall him embarrassing himself or the club while he wore the jersey.

Ah here, the lad was an absolute workhorse on an off the pitch. Great attitude to playing too. Seems to absolutely love the game between playing in Europe during the US off season.

Capello pretty much told him he could piss off and then had to turn to him during the run in after he had agreed the move to Galaxy. Becks kept training and performed really well when called on.

Went into Maher Sports in Cork today to see new Home Jersey.

Really like it and it was one of nicer jerseys on display imo too.

Dont mind admitting Man City, Liverpool and Bayern among others having some nice home shirts past few years but when it was next to City jersey today I pick the United Jersey as the nicer one. Been a while since could say that.

Beckham scored some beauties for us down the years. 5.29 being my personal favourite.

Just a small thing here, when Beckham joined United the old system was still in place where young players signed as apprentices and as such, chores like cleaning boots, kit, changing room etc. were their job, no choices. That has all long since changed now to the academy system.

As for the man himself, well he's been extremely successful and has managed to create a near perfect public image while doing so, something which is no mean feat if you try to think of how many famous people comes across as being completely humble and genuine.

    Just no.

Write down all the clubs he's played for and what's he's won. Hype? No. Winner. Yes.

Beckham and Scholes were 2 players I never fully appreciated till they left.

Nobody in world comes close, before or since, in set pieces or crossing, as Beckham has.

Anyone remember Nevilles testimonial against Juve a few years back? Beckham was fairly class that day, made me miss him alot at OT!
