The speaker cover? Is it damaged? You could spray them??

But anyway a scrapyard would be a good place to start, last time i was in kilcock they had a few of your car there

    They had one you heathen.
What's wrong with them stheno? Faded? Or ripped? If faded it's a common problem on then although the rear ones usually fade to purple :pac:

Nah it's not the speaker cover itself, it's the flimsy material that kind of puts a nice finish on it. (see pic it's the stuff that's coming away from it.

What's the name of that place in Kilcock? I rang them once, and to say they were challenging to deal with is an understatement.

Do they really have a few gtvs? There are only about twenty registered in the country, how many is a few?

That aside, this stuff has to be fairly standard stuff you can get which is what I am wondering, it's certainly not alfa specific imo.

Am also wondering how best to reattach a small speaker cover ( a steel/metal type thing) double sided tape?

I'm getting fussy now about my car, next to go is the steering wheel and gear knob

Well according to the fanboy there's only one :P

Front ones one is gone, the other is ripped

Rear they are a weird grey on the outside and black/purple on the inside, they look like they are suffering from damp.

That shower in Kilcock are insufferable btw.

And /sob, none of you have congratulated me on getting from having a gtv that sounded like a tractor in distress, to having nothing more to worry about than the fact the speaker fabric is ripped, and the gear knob is worn

and that with NO Mechanical knowledge! ANd 25 k miles on the clock in 2.5 years!

@ unpronounceable italian name, that's very kind )

Pred, my car is now a different beast from when you drove it, you might enjoy driving it if you are around :)

    When is the next meet?

I'm always up for a spin, I'm working in Dublin now so it would be easier.
No mention of a midway meet recently.

It sounds a lot better in italian that it does in English anyway :pac: I'll have a look and see.
I wouldn't be the greatest fan of the lads in kilcock either. Always come across aaa being one step away from telling their customers to F off.

You've done some amount of work to it....would be a shame to sell it now before values go up

Jaypers, if you are in Dublin on a Monday/Tuesday night, give me a shout if you are free, I'm in Swords, and I've a lovely 50 odd mile twisty, bendy road, ending on the M1 chill out drive that I do.

You've done some amount of work to it....would be a shame to sell it now before values go up

I was absolutely blessed with my mechanic tbh, I actually can't believe that the rat heap I bought 2.5 years ago is as good as it is now, my mechanic was so chuffed with it this week, that he took it out for a spin (I'm waiting for the penalty points notice), and it's doing a good 300 miles a week minimum, I'd love to know how many other gtvs are in the same nick.

I'm in the silly situation of having a job where people who are car ignorant wonder why I have such an old car, and I'm responding to that, but then I think, there are less of these then there are ferraris in Ireland, and my car looks good, and I love driving it.

I've still stuff to do, so I think I'll continue :)

I decided i wanted something less reliable :o

    What are you driving now?

Unreliable is an alfa, not a Volvo!

Entirely unrelated, but I took Bea up to Banbridge today as I wanted to shop.

OMG the goodness of 50mp/h in third sounding good, and the joy of rapidly outmanouevering those who see an old car and think they can do better.

    Heeeheeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

On another note, some seriously dodgy driving on the M1 tonight, one wanker trying to undertake a car spent half his time between the two lanes, forcing a car in the right hand lane to almost clip the post, then undertook with about a foot between them.

I was in the inside lane watching

Anyone care to guess value of a 09 accord type s 2.0 petrol 94km full main dealer service history. Its the cl7 model not latest one.

Nah not at all, sure that was a broken clip. Airbag was still in their and all. Instead it comes with engine that sounds beautiful, unreal power, drives superbly and doesn't cut out/break down and cause a traffic jam :pac:

What's wrong with it now :(

Now I want a 3 series coupe, ohh lord :pac:

Ugh motorway. Those gtv's belong on the backroads with lots of twisties. I avoid motorways now!:)
