Picking a Pc gaming monitor

Hi, I am on the hunt for a new Pc monitor, and getting swamped with information and brands.

I am looking for a Gaming Monitor, €200.00 + -,
5 or less Mil'seconds
LED,
good range of connectivity HMDI DVI etc,
24 ",

I would appreciate if anyone could point me in the direction of a good make, also appreciate it if you could give a reason for that model and if it is with in forum guide lines where to get it.

I have a 24" Lg 24EA53 monitor.
DVI, HDMI and VGA imputs.
Full HD,
5ms response time,
60hz
AH-IPS panel

Great colour contrast, i work with photoshop a lot and recreates very good image colour so its pretty accurate.
Not sure if its still available or if its been discontinued but it was a steal for about €150 this time last year

Unless you intend to be a professional gamer, then don't worry about response times. Most of them are somewhat made up when comparing between brands anyway. Get yourself a nice IPS like the one suggested by Recurve and ignore TN panels when talking about that price range.

Thats a serious monitor for the money involved. If I had space for a 27" I would buy it myself. Its a steal for that price

Just to be clear, i am not the owner nor do I have any idea who it is so i dnt think im breaking any rules...

It should give you a nice picture. Are you happy enough with the look of it? I picked the cheapest 23'' IPS.
There's other ones there that they charge a bit more for.

I kind of like the first Asus there or the AOC.

Has features like rotatable screen.

They're probably all much the same. The bulk of the screens themselves come from the same factories and it's just the different companies packing them up in different looks with different warranties and support.

Edit: Some of them have speakers. Speakers in monitors are nearly always rubbish, so don't use this as a deciding factor.

I want to buy a 23inch maybe 23.6 matte screen gaming monitor for my desktop.
I can afford to spend about €200 max i suppose.
Could some experienced user advise me which one to get?
The choice is massive and i dont know what to get.
I heard that philips ones are not good.
Maybe samsung or Benq?
I am going to be using it only for my desktop so i dont need any special xbox inputs or anything like that.

Just type ips into the search bar wherever you're buying. Pick one that you think looks nice and has a good price. Then read the reviews (and ensure that it ships here if it's amazon.co.uk).

IPS screens generally offer better colour and viewing angles than the usual TN monitors.
Most IPS monitors on the market today are fairly good, but always read the reviews.

Another alternative is the VA panels. Good for high contrast - films etc look good, but not the best for games as response time can be lower.
