Seems the earlier reports of a truce deal are now being denied by both sides.
Hopefully something can be agreed on soon.

Hamas seem to think that they can negotiate some meaningful concessions from what has been the status quo for the last few years, but I can't see them getting anything meaningful from Netanyahu this time round - he seems to be too worried about criticism from the extreme-right at the moment.

Also, the UN are claiming that one of their buildings was being used to hide rockets.

UN positions & personnel are attacks in all our area's of operations ~ our guys currently serving in Syria lay witness to that, and up to mid week so did our guys in Lebanon.

This is one of the most unpalatable positions of Israel and its supporters, the denial that Palestinians even exist. They were booted out of the Asian federation in 1976. In the 80's they played within the Oceania Football Confederation but were later excluded from that too.

UEFA took them in in '94 because nobody else would have them.
