Following an ilness and being on strong medication I have been advised to have my eight remaing top teeth removed and dentures put in.
Can anyone tell me what is involved in this procedure.
    Thank you.

Your dentist would be best placed to give you advice on the procedure. Really its as you described. The teeth are removed and dentures are fitted to the gums from impression made before or after the extractions. A complete upper denture is tollerable for most people and a good one can look very nice. If this is being done on the medical card, pray for the poor dentist who is making a massive loss on the dentures as the HSE pay a pittance.
